Located behind The Magic Time Machine restaurant. This place is super divey so if you’re not ok with a dive bar then you would hate it here. Today(Tuesday) was boneless wings night and Clinton(bartender) was great! He was holdin it down by himself with about 20 guest ordering food and drinks. Boneless wings are more like pop corn chicken but they are so juicy. I recommend the lemon pepper flavor. Now for the bone-in wings I would get the mild flavor. They have Sam Adams Boston Lager, Angry Orchard, Dos XX’s and Shiner Bock on draft. Give this place a chance if you wanna just hang with the gang after work and don’t need a flashy atmosphere to have a good tims.

Went in for the first time on a whim, the employees seemed cheerful even though it was end of shift. The families from the magic time machine were just about cleared out, but the bar was alive with young, old, newcomers, and regulars. Everyone was having a great time and welcoming, the drinks were as strong as they should be and decently priced. There was even an independent comedy show going on in the basement. Overall, i had a great time surrounded by a jovial crowd and nostalgic atmosphere.

I was very happy with my experience. I stopped in on Friday night, busy but not too bad. I sat at the bar and ordered a Prime Rib. The bartender, Mel, led me to the salad bar back in the restaurant and shortly after I came back to my seat my steak arrived. Everything was great. Mel at the bar did a great job! I sure didn’t leave hungry!

I would give this place –2 stars if they had such a rating. The service sucks, the food is grossly overpriced for bar food, and everything I touch is sticky. A club I am in meets here a couple times a week, and I it most every time.

Cheap drinks the bartender was pretty busy when we got there so had to wait a few minutes for drinks, but other than that no complaints. Lots of 20 somethings hung out here so a really laid back atmosphere.

I got shafted! Yea, what’s with the $ 2.00 «photos with Santa» charge on the credit card? WTF is that? This place is kinda dusty and old, and smells a lil dank. The ceilings were leaking when we went here, there were buckets strategically placed around the place to control the water. It seems that this place was built in 1973, and hasn’t been cleaned since. The weird carpeting plays tricks on the eyes, to give you a sort of vertigo. It’s either that, or the $ 2 drink specials are playing havoc. This place is truly one of the weirdest bars in SA, but not in a wholly good way. After pounding a bunch of cheap drinks, you have to ask yourself, «Hey, wait a second, are those Purple Hooter shots catching up with me, or did Zorro just ask for a Lone Star?!» Jeesh. The décor is outta sight. I’ve never seen anything like it. 8 tracks tacked to the ceiling with marbles. Strange Mongolian Yerts to have drinks in. This place seems to be best late-night. Happy hour specials start @ 9p. The happy hour specials are actually quite good. I just showed up a bit too early. Next time I’ll come late. They had beer pong, video games, and all kinds of other stuff happening late. PS– the pool table sucks, it’s wildly outta tilt. Notice the fact that it’s propped up with paper towels.

I went here on a Monday night, and it was pretty awesome. Not too packed, but a decently sized crowd of all types of people. They had beer pong tournaments, a DJ playing some awesome music, and a huge crowd of gamers playing Street Fighter and other console fighting games. I was –extremely– impressed with the gaming section. Monday night they had special .50 cent wings and $ 2 drinks, with cheap beers. I got two Heinekens for $ 6.50. That’s cheap. Majorly cheap. The bartenders were good as well, nice and happy and made some very nice drinks for my friend. I hope to return very soon.

This a laid back bar with cheap drinks and decent live music. The crowd seems to be mid to late 20s for the most part. The music wasn’t too loud, one could still carry on a conversation. I’d go back but I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this place to anyone.

This place was really cool! I’ve only been once, but I would definitely go again and bring all my friends. It had such a great lively vibe. I felt like I was in new Orleans or something. It is decorated and the stuff on the walls and ceiling had me entertained for a bit. The people drinking here were mostly in their 20’s but with a diverse crowd.

Stepping into this place at 10 pm for a show kind of threw me off. Wasn’t this the back of The Magic Time Machine? Isn’t that the bar in The Magic Time Machine. Where the frick are we? Ah, there’s the tiny stage. We were obviously too early, but in the right place. It was pretty entertaining being there while all the costumed characters were still working and serving several large dinner parties that surround the bar. The Magic Time Machine, in case you never been, hasn’t changed in 30 years. It smells of musty mold and ancient furniture. Its not a classy place. The place hasn’t made much money over the years it appears. Even Jim’s remodeled most of their locations in town, why not focus on their tourist attraction sister? Even the employees appear to barely make enough money to put on proper costumes, most are DIY jobs, which in this case mostly fails. Regardless its humoring to watch how everyone works there. Everyone has something to say and they don’t care if you were open to conversation or being interupted by them butting in to any existing conversation you may be holding. This happened to the lover and me several times by Poison Ivy, Captain Jack Sparrow and Ace Ventura. I guess that’s what happens when you’re early. We didn’t really mind. It was interesting seeing the place liven up after the dinner guests departed and the adults ready to party arrived. The place got smoky real quick and that was our Que to leave. My lover was pretty stoked about the little booths throughout the restaurant so I feel well be having dinner here soon. Oh boy!
