Little Chapel of Miracles

Great place to worship. It’s a must for people who live in the area.

Love this sweet little chapel of miracles. We love the sweet elderly woman and man that help to run the place. God bless them.

So I was inspired by Jan B. to do a review on this church.
Jan’s FB status: Does anyone know where the church of miracles is… I asked Izzie what he wants to do now… he said… all the sacred spaces I love… but that little church I heard of but nobody knows the exact address

*more time passes* (ok, I think it was only actually a few minutes but it seemed like forever since I was trying to help her get the address)
Me: Ximenes Chapel —
Me: Ok shoot… gimme a min
Me: Here, look on google satellite maps for the street «Haven for Hope Way»… by S. Pecos Street. On google maps it’s listed as Ximenes Chapel.
Jan: that isn’t the exact address is it… lmao…not Jimenes? will check… but gonna find that one tomorrow…
Me: There really isnt an exact address but I did see Ximenes Church on Google maps. S. Pecos-​Trinidad are parallel to I-​10. You can see the highway from the church. And there’s a city park right next to it… Something called Garcia Park
Jan: okay… can you give me a geo cache coordinates. lmao
Moral of the story: print out a google map because this place has no known physical address. And if you look at Garcia Park (which is located on the same grounds as the church, it’s listed on Frio; however, the SAISD Child & Nurtition Services which is right across the street from the church has an address listed on Haven for Hope Way).
Well, after all the chit-​chat on FB, I eventually made it out to the church later that day but wouldn’t you know it? They’re closed on Tuesdays.
It’s cute though. I pass this on my way to work and home everyday and even though I’ve heard about some ‘church of miracles’, ‘miracle church’, ‘a church full of miracles’, ‘miracles performed here church’, and so on in all my years of living in San Antonio, I’d never come over here before. It’s listed in the National Registry of Historic Places and was the original site of the Alamo. I did manage to take some pictures.
