KSAT 12

Dislike GMSA! Other stations much better. My opinion, the morning show interacts with their favs & ignores the other viewers.

Props to KSAT for having the courage to release the tape of the Bexar County Sheriffs Office shooting a citizen with their hands in the air. Although the BCSO had tried to suppress the news, they took a stand and aired the footage.
Their journalistic integrity is usually spot on, and their weather is generally on the mark.
I am not a big fan of SA Live. It just seems like a lot of mindless prattle about who has the best margaritas, and what kinds of arts and crafts you can make with Fiesta medals.
I often see their news with grammatical errors, and with the «click-​bait» on their website– «What restaurant is trying to kill you! Click here to find out…» A bit sensational on their part, but I guess that’s par for the course for San Antonio news.

Best evening news team in San Antonio. They also boast a great new addition to their daytime show, SA Live. Keep it up KSAT.

KSAT12 was pretty good back in the late 80s and 90s but their reporting (and editing process) has gone down in quality. The weather/​sports folks still continue to be on top of things while one of their news anchors seems to continuously run into problems presenting the news. Some of the reporting now tends to leave you hanging – making you ask yourself even more questions – so why was this reported or what are the local authorities/​city plan to do? They recently started to aggressively sensor all the comments before they hit the website – maybe to discourage everyone (or certain commentors) from commenting on their new reports. I understand it’s their right to accept/​refuse comments – and they have to make sure things stay clean and on topic – but I think it has gone beyond that now. It’s too bad they don’t use the same process to review (and proof read) the articles their reporters post on their website. Many of us have noticed misspelled words, inaccurate information or even gaping holes with the information. Did you notice that a lot of their national news sources (for their website) comes from CNN? Granted that they are an ABC affiliate – a media outlet that has strong ties to the left, but what happened to the unbiased news reporting they presented years ago? In fact if you go to their website – you won’t find many comments on recent articles. My guess is that KSAT12 will eventually follow CNN’s lead and either reduce reader comments or just do away with them. I met some people who are very passionate about the news.

I love KSAT anchor folks. Adore Steve Browne’s weather reports. What I’m reviewing today is the KSAT news app. Goodness gracious people, who is writing the news stories on this thing??? Constant misspellings and grammatical errors. Also, it seems like the KENS app has updates more often. I’ll see a breaking story on Kens first then, KSAT posts it later and with less detail. Annoying.
I posted three stars for the nice photographs and layout.

Steve Browne is the man!
You know your weather guy is awesome when he never shows up covering some sidebar story about a shooting on the west side or a broken down Via bus.
Steve is informative and in depth in his coverage. He backs up his forecasts with analysis of how climate change actually works in relation to the elements. Many weather bunnies may claim to be meterlololigists but I doubt they have the pedigree to back it up. Steve moved here from Cleveland many years ago and has never looked back. His rapport with the anchors and sportscasters as well as his KSAT garden and spot jump ins are priceless.
For our household we watch KSAT specifically for Steve, although my wife does have a thing for Spriester

These guys crack me up every morning. The weather guy and the main anchor constantly pull pranks on each other. One morning they were having Wacky Food-​Wednsdays and were eating something with chips… then during the weather report you see him hand the bag of chips to him in the middle of the report… it was priceless.
