Absolutely a disgusting company to deal with.
It is really sad, but nobody knows how to do their job over there. Specially Sarabeth.
They will always be rude, no matter what.. They say they will do something, and they don’t deliver 95% of the time. They only work for their timelines, they don’t care about owners at all.
They will tell you excuses for not doing their job. They will put you on hold for over 10 minutes.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. There are so many amazing management companies in SAN ANTONIO, that are professional and know how to do their jobs. This company is not one of them.
Beware: If the staff does not know how to do something, they will accuse you of being ugly and put you through Hoppie the owner before trying to make it right.

You should always trust Unilocal reviews. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt I wanted it to not be a nightmare but well. Starting with the hot and humid tempature of the office and the less than hospitable attitudes of the office matrons. The Customer service is non existent hearing them speak to current customers/​tenants was scary it was a little like debt collector 101 type of conversations. They are all about their timelines and are sketchy at best when it comes to business. It’s all about money for them I feel for the owners who may be hostages not being given the opportunity to have a tenant who is worthy. Stay away from this unprofessional place they are the worst.

They manage a property I own. I have a renter who ran into financial problems and monthly payments weren’t coming in consistently. I had challenges getting in touch with someone at Home Locators to get it straightened out, but after connecting/​working with Celine, she was able to come up with a solution to help me get paid on a consistent basis and still keep the tenant in the home. Thank you Celine for taking action and finding a workable solution!

This management company is terrible.
I rented an apartment from them for 2 years. Every time I called to speak to my property manager, I was told that they no longer worked for the company, and was referred to my new property manager. This happened at least 4 times.
After a year of living there, my roommate came home and found an eviction notice on the door. It stated that we were required to move out within 3 days. I called Home Locators and spoke to someone in the accounting department and told her that I had made every rent payment on time so I didn’t understand why I was being evicted. She said that there was some issue with a payment from the month prior, but that she’d look into it and call me back right away. The next morning, when she didn’t call back, I called Home Locators again and was unable to speak to anyone. I drove out to the office, met the woman I had spoken on the phone with the day before, and was told that it was all a mistake and a glitch with the payment website. She said she thought someone else called me back about it. I never received an apology or anything.
After I’d given notice that I was moving out, had found a new apartment and applied for it, my potential landlord sent them a request for my rental history. They confirmed that they had my rental history, but didn’t sent it to him. I contacted the company and requested that they send him the information and was assured that they already had. I finally had to drive out to the office and get them to print my rental history out.
The management here is clearly incompetent and extremely unprofessional. I have nothing positive to say about my experience with them.

If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. This is THE WORST management company I have ever dealt with. They are the most unprofessional, rude, and arrogant company I have never had the displeasure of working with. There is NO leniency, and absolutely not one nice person that works there. Try and dodge this place at any cost!!!

They manage a property for me and I am desperately waiting for my contract with these people to come to term. They do a good job as long as the tenant pays the rent on time and takes care of the property as agreed upon in the rental agreement.
They do a terrible job if they are called upon to do anything other than send you the rent. Their accounting department doubles as a customer service department and the results are tragic. They are disinterested, rude and slightly less than helpful.
They refuse to communicate with owners. A lot of the issues I’ve had with them wouldn’t seem as egregious if they would just offer an explanation beforehand or be available to talk after the fact. The monthly statements you get as an owner are confusing at best and deceptive at worst.
I have grown distrustful of HLM because I don’t believe they have the best interest of owners in mind. I will not be renewing my contract with them when it expires.

Awful Company. Beware of them. They will do everything to make money out of you. Think twice before using them. all the google reviews are accurate.
I am also on verge of hiring lawyer to break the contract…

I have never experienced a more rude, unprofessional, and incompetent company in my life. As a former home owner and business owner, I realize the balance of maintaining a property properly (emphasis on properly) while making money on a rental property is a challenge. I witnessed the owner be demeaning and rude to his employees in front of clients. I was told that certain things would be cleaned before I moved in that weren’t and information has been lost in the system. Once I did move in, I had to submit numerous repair requests in the first two months (which took me away from work) due to broken light coverings, leaking/​not working water fixtures, constantly running toilets, missing rods in closets, exposed wires and unfinished outlets. I have been outright ignored in attempts to communicate with the office to discuss issues that could turn into significant problems if not addressed before an emergency occurs. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood, and I was shocked with how ill-​kept it has been for the years it has been a rental. I know the neighbors and the history of the place, and if I were the owner, I would never, ever, ever use HLM to manage my property. It is sad and I feel bad for the home owner, but that’s their choice. I just try to improve what I can on things that are just common sense when it comes to home ownership.

Horrible property management services.
Already scheduled a meeting with a lawyer to legally break this contract. This management company is rude, non communicative, and down right scammers.
Will never use them again nor recommend these horrible people. They should lose all credentials!!!
