Oh my gosh. I can’t say enough great things about this place. The BEST pedicure massage of my life. Just the massage lasted for at LEAST 20 minutes.
*since this review, I’ve been back 3 more times, and it’s just as fantastic each time. They just got new chairs, use plastic liners in the bowls and are incredibly sanitary. I truly feel pampered here, and not just rushed out the door.

I called ahead to find out if they did dipping powder. The man on the phone said yes. So I booked an app. for myself and my friend for the next day at 4:30pm. We arrived on time yet didn’t get seen until 5pm. I asked while we were waiting to see their color options for dipping powder. When I asked no one seemed to know what I was talking about. Finally there was a man who brought out a tiny basket of less than 10 colors options… all ranging between clear, nude, and light pink. (So really about 3 colors options because they all looked so similar) So if you weren’t interested in a nude color, which luckily I was, then you were S.O.L. So it’s finally time for us to be helped and the man pulled up a video on YouTube from his phone about how to do dipping powder. Yes, that’s correct… he was watching a video about how to do it as he does it to me.
Halfway through I got thirsty and asked if they had any wine. (Was never offered a drink) They produced something that looked like white grape juice and tasted like it was from a bottle that had been opened a few months back.
About 5 different staff members came over to stare and to check out the work he was doing and to touch my nails. I was then charged $ 40 to the service and left. If I’m going to be treated like a guinea pig I expect to receive guinea pig pricing. Practice on your own staff after hours, don’t charge me full price and then make me feel like I volunteered to be apart of a class.
1. Don’t say you do dipping powder if you really don’t know how to do it. Don’t lie just to get a customer.
2. Having a few color options doesn’t count either.
3. If dipping powder is not something you normally do, that’s fine. Just communicate that. A simple, «We actually just started doing dipping powder, but we do offer it as a service. Since we just started, we only have a few colors, are you wanting something in the nude family?»
Lasted about a week (dipping powder usually lasts 2 weeks at the very least) before it started chipping. Of course, I \won’t be going back and would not recommend.

So first off the building location is great. The décor is beautiful. In regards to service, the quality really depends on who you get. I got a mani pedi at the same time which I don’t recommend since it hard to focus on your foot massage when someone is stabbing your fingers and vice versa. The pedicure turned out great. The manicure is another story. The gentleman doing my manicure kept rolling his eyes at me as if he hated his life and my polish looks pretty bad. I’ll give it another chance though!

They do not sanitize their pedicure tools. I saw a technician wipe off the metal tools with a dirty towel and put them back in the sanitize bag for the next person.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for years since my mom lives down the street. I had broken a nail through out the day and decided to try this place out. I literally was on a time crunch since the next day i was going to La Vegas. When walking i was asked by a lady something and i really couldn’t understand so i responded «im sorry i cant hear you let me get closer «Another man from across the room yells «she said what you want «that right there was already a red flag. She tells me to take a seat and looks at my nails and walks away.
Didn’t tell me if she was taking a break or getting supplies i sat for a good 45 min. Someone else comes in and help her right away. The owners were walking around and not once was i asked if i was being helped. I walked right out. I am Very understanding person but you have to communicate. Customer Service sucks here. I will never go back. And if i ever here someone say they are going there i will make sure they do not waste their money there.

This is mine & my babygirl’s favorite place to de-​stress after a long week. Not to mention just spend some quality time together. Kenny is my go-​to. My experience with him has always been above and beyond. He takes his time and ensures all the details are taken care of (not to mention his foot massages!) The prices aren’t too different than most of the places in town and I like that the talking is kept to a minimum. Although some of the employees do have a nice sense of humor. Holly is very sweet and she did a great job ensuring my babygirl’s nails looked as natural as possible due to the nature of her job.
On a side note, I was told this past weekend that they’re planning on getting new pedicure massage chairs sometime soon. Can’t wait to try them out at my next visit!

They got us in right away. My husband got a pedicure with me and that poor lady had her work cut out for her. but they both did awesome and paid attention to detail. Rubbed my feet really good. I would come back for sure if I lived here. Also, very good prices.

We went as a party of 4 they took us right away but I sat for 20 minutes with my feet in water before they even started, my friends pedicure was almost done. My other friends they kept going back and forth on for manicures they cut one of the girls cuticles a few times and the polish is all bubbled. Overall not a great experience and to top it off the pedicures were $ 30 for the cheapest.

Excellent service. The massages were heavenly with the pedicure. Very clean and the upstairs wax area is very relaxing. Next time I’m going to get a facial. I think this is my new place now.

Professional staff. But the pedicurist cut too far into my toe and caused an infection-​though hand and toe nails look great. Also, can’t help but miss the days when you got a warm welcome when you entered nail salons. All you see is people who hate their jobs and i’m sure for good reasons.

Great service! And cute interior. The chairs are comfy and they put a cooling mask on your feet. Also, relatively easy to get an appointment. Highly recommend if you are staying at the Hotel Emma (they have car service if you choose not to drive).

By far favorite nail salon !!! Have been coming here for over a decade. Owners and staff super friendly and fast. I recommend an appointment they can get really busy in a matter of minutes.

Anyone looking for a new «home» to get your nails done, look no further. I’ve only been twice and I already know this Nail Spa will be my favorite of all time! Holly LISTENS to exactly what you want and the end product is just that. Their attention to detail is amazing. Being a bartender, it’s very easy to chip and crack my nails. But I’ve had no such problems! I also have to add that being a full time student myself, their prices are very reasonable. I’m so proud to tell people about Holly’s Nails when they complement my pretty, natural looking nails.

They have a very clean environment, and polite staff. However, when it came to my shellac nails it was horrible. When I kept asking them to fix it, I could tell they were getting irritated. But I’m not going to pay for something I don’t like! Look at it at both ends of the spectrum.

This last visit was the last straw for me at Holly’s. I really do love their work, but it is impossible to get an appointment there that is honored on time. I made an appointment for a Thursday at 5pm, ended up getting out of work early and called to ask them if I could arrive earlier. They said sure, come in 45 minutes. 45 minutes rolls around, I call to check before I left as I live very near, and they told me come in 30 minutes. So I show up another 30 minutes after that and they told me he wasn’t ready for me yet. WHAAAAAAT? Really? So I waited 15 minutes and finally walked out when it became apparent I would be given service when it was convenient for them.
If you make an appointment, you will have to wait, but will be given priority over other walk ins at least. They do not uphold their appointments given, and will have their workers work on whomever is in the building first, regardless of if they have an appointment coming in 10 minutes. Holly’s, please figure out a way to manage your appointments better!

This place is amazing. They always do a fantastic job, while also being very quick. I have yet to go here a single time when they don’t paint my nails like they’re painting art –they’re careful and have never painfully cut my cuticles, which is a rare thing for most places. The place is clean and very modern. Sometimes places can be smelly and have terrible music playing, but here, everything is clean place, nicely designed and have classical music playing softly in the background. This is now my regular place!

OH MY LORD! I love this place, so relaxing!!! most definitely recommended! My friend and I never have come here before today, I only heard about it from another friend who said the place looks nice, who drove by but didn’t get anything done because she was running late. But she missed out! This place is just amazing!

I took my mom to get the Deluxe Pedicure with a manicure. She LOVED it. Although it was her first, they pampered her and made her feel special. I love that. I got a manicure. They cut my nail bed on one hand but other than that, they were fantastic.

Granted I always show up on weekday afternoons, the wait is only a couple minutes to get a chair. The people working here move super quick and efficiently, it seems maybe a little more impersonal than I’m used to (less small talk) then again maybe it’s just my unintentional RBF… but who cares because their work is SPECTACULAR. This place gives the best mani/​pedi of my life. Prices are basically the same as your average strip mall nail joint, but the level of service and expertise is far superior.

My FAVE place to go for a mani/​pedi! Have been a loyal customer for about five years now. The establishment is chic and cute and clean. Holly is always investing in better more high tech pedi chairs!
The foot/​hand massages are thorough and oh, so relaxing!
If you’re in the Alamo heights/​mancke hood and in need of a good polish… Hollys your place!
