Food is outstanding, the place is a dump, and the roaches(qty 3) near the end of my meal made my skin crawl. I won’t be back. That’s too bad because I had been going there for 25 yrs. sad to see such a great place go down to this. I think the roaches have been there all along. It just took me hundreds of visits before I saw them :-(

A+ This is a good option for those in the northeast part of the city. The place is locally owned and nothing fancy but the food is great. It’s what you’d expect of an older Asian restaurant. They have the Mongolian grill option but I’ve not tried it yet. Their lunch specials are $ 7 and I recommend the sesame chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. The service is fast as well. A great lunch option if you work in the area.

Been coming here for over 20 years and their food is great. Our favorite is their Mongolian BBQ Buffet for dinner. Don’t let the looks fool you, this hole in the wall is awesome and a hidden gem.

Been coming here for years. The food is always good. They make one of the best egg drop soups I’ve ever eaten. The interior is nothing fancy, but it’s more than made up for by the friendly attentive waitstaff. If you like Mongolian BBQ this is the place to go. Way better than the chain restaurant that shares a similar name.

Love this place. always get the stir fry special.10.95 and all you can make your own stir fry, rice, egg roll, soup, wine, other drink and dessert… very full by end of this. My husband had the Mongolian beef and finished the whole platter. Will always return!

Omg! Yuck! Place was so dirty and meat was just sitting out. The flavors were so gross and there was no flavor to begin with and had hair in it! I will never go back.

Now this is authentic! The best Mongolian BBQ I’ve had in the last 12 years(I say that because the last time I had Mon BBQ this good was when I lived in Chinatown). Nonetheless, staff makes you feel at home.

Ghengis Khan, indeed. Craving Mongolian bbq, a friend and I stopped for lunch. I was disenchanted with the greasy smell which greeted us when we entered the restaurant, and service was just so-so. The deal-breaker, however, came when our waitress brought our hot tea: when we poured the hot water out of the metal pot, a large cockroach went darting out of the spout and across our table! We immediately canceled our order and went elsewhere for lunch. Nobody’s food is so wonderful that I’ll fight the roaches for it!

I can’t believe I’m the first one to review this place. When I asked our waitress if it was new, she said no they’ve been there for 20 something years. Excellent service, excellent food! If you’ve never done Mongolian BBQ before, definitely go! It’s a salad bar like set up where you put the meat, veggies, noodles and sauces on your food the way you want it uncooked and then they put it on the BBQ and cook it in front of you. With the price of your BBQ you get a cup of soup, an egg roll and white rice, so yummy! They do have a regular Chinese menu too. I had hot and sour soup and it was both hot(spicy) and sour something I find is not as easy as you’d think to get from Chinese places.

Genghis Khan specializes in Mongolian-style cooking, featuring a Mongolian grill buffet. They’re located next to Harbor Freight. Prices are fairly cheap and if you get the grill buffet it’ll fill you up for certain. It looks nice inside and they apparently get a good crowd there for dinner. My wife and I are in love with the grill buffet. The grill comes with rice and one eggroll per person. In that case you’ll serve yourself by grabbing a bowl and filling it with what you want cooked(raw meat slices, vegetables and noodles, and various sauces as well as some dry items located next to the grill), then you take it up to the grill and the grill master will cook it right there in front of you, put the ingredients into a larger bowl and hand it back to you. We haven’t tried any of the menu items, but they have plenty to choose from!
