Fossil Creek Complete Care

I thought I got bit by a poisonous spider so I went to this location bc they said they took my insurance. I had a huge bruise where the bite was, they looked at it for 2 seconds and said it was a mosquito bite that I scratched too hard? The bruise had 2 visible bite marks like a spider inside of the white center in the middle of the bruise. Now they want to charge me 800.00 for looking at a mosquito bite and the five minutes I was in their office. Don’t go here.

Doctor are awesome while your there. Not very good at calling u back but overall great!

We frequent Fossil Creek Complete Care due to my sons food allergies and asthma and they always get us in quickly and take great care of us. I would highly recommend them in the event of an emergency as they are a fully equipped facility and get you seen fast.

Too slow, poor care, and overcharged!
I took my 10 year old here the other night for high fever and a sore throat. It was nearly empty and we got to but took us two hours to get seen. First we were seen by a nursing student who attempted a diagnosis (allergies) and finally a doctor who tested for flu and strep. I had already decided we would never return but today I got our EOB and they charged our insurance over $ 2500.
In response to the super friendly note from the staff:
I understand that I won’t have to pay for what the insurance company was billed but that does not excuse billing $ 2500 for a basic virus. And while we were seen by a nurse fairly quickly we were there every bit of 2 hours before we were seen by the doctor.

My family of five has been going to Fossil Creek for probably 5 – 6 years (well, since the month they opened). We’ve been sooo happy there that we actually ditched our family doctor and only used Fossil Creek for all our needs (flus, earaches, sprains, strep, rash, x-​rays, UTI’s, etc). I’m one of those that would rather pay a $ 50 copay and feel safe about our health. The manager has joked with me before stating my family keeps them in business and I’ve even spoken with the owners. It was a great feeling to have that kind of relationship. They frequently gave us $ 25 coupons so we were actually only paying $ 25. On one occasion, when my daughter was very ill, they gave her a brand new pillow pet! We loved the place and always referred friends!
Today, I’ve been up since 2am with strep. Horribly miserable, fever, vomiting, throat pain, etc. My husband drove me to Fossil Creek. The female at the front desk «matter of factly» informed me that I now need to pay $ 150 and will likely get billed another $ 350 (totaling $ 500) for my visit because I’ve not met my deductible. I explained that we’ve come here every year after year, never meeting it and only paid $ 50. She would not budge and also told me they have new owners now. I mentioned what regular patients for years we were and if this was the case we could not return. Another (much friendlier female) came from the back and asked her (the other woman) if she could work something out with us since we gave them so much business. Nope, no can do, she would not budge. We left. I’m sad that with all the insurance junk out there, we had a place of comfort we could trust that’s now gone. I guess the mighty dollar has won.
Thank God my old family doctor took me as a «walk in» and was able to diagnose me for $ 25.00.

Best experience in an urgent care/​ER! Every member of the staff we interacted with (including the lady at the front counter, the nurse, and the doctor) were all extremely nice and took the time to explain details to us. I have never been somewhere where they just charge a flat fee of $ 50, and then tell you that we won’t see another bill from them. I was a little hesitant reading the other reviews of the bills they received but the lady at the front counter was very transparent in their policies and advised they contract for ancillary services (radiology, labs, etc) and that we may see a bill from the contracted company as an administrative item once insurance is billed, which makes sense. The price seemed very reasonable, considering other places that are only urgent care will end up charging you more if they have to transfer you somewhere else for ER. We chose to come here since we could eliminate the need for a transfer. The doctor took a lot of time to ensure he explained his thought process for treating our daughter, and also made sure any questions we had were answered. We felt very comfortable here, despite the circumstances of our daughter being ill. I would highly recommend going here!

To be honest, it’s a very nice location and I think it’s really convenient that it’s 24 – 7, but they need to work on understanding some basic medical concepts and bedside manner. I really don’t mean to drop knowledge bombs on people, but as a doctor, I honestly take it upon myself to educate the public. Honestly.
So a little bit about me, I simply needed a chest X-​ray and some blood work done for an employer. There’s a difference between a check up for a possible condition that was prophylactically treated completely 6 years ago and actually having said condition.
I swear this nurse busts through the doors, literally (no LITERALLY) throws a surgical mask at me. I put it down because I’m still filling out the paperwork, and then yells, «No. Put this on NOW.»
So I put it on, and continue filling out the paperwork. Again, I got yelled, «come with me… No. Now.»
So I comply, and walk with her, and as I go through the doors, I’m sort of greeted by a bunch of scrubs, who kindly nod me away because they don’t have a negative pressure room.
Mid-​step, this wonderful, yell’y nurse shoes me away with her hand as if she was dusting potato chip crumbs off of her sweats in the middle of a Binge Session of Gilmore Girls on Netflix. (Not that there’s anything wrong with Gilmore Girls, I’m actually on the Second Season now. Good stuff.)
So as I’m trying to collect my things, I try to take the mask off, well… because I’m leaving. I was told to go to an actual ER. Big ER. No, no. A big ER. She actually pantomimed it to me, as if I didn’t understand English.
I try to remove the face mask that was literally 6 ywars too late in protecting those around me… Old Yeller here: «No. Leave it ON.»
I mustered up all or my strength to Valsalva a real hard coughing «THANK YOU!» right into her mouth, and exited stage right.
That last line was a joke, but otherwise, that’s my story. If this is how patients get treated when they aren’t sick, I really feel bad for those who are sick.
Maybe things have changed since I finished medical school, but…
SARS isn’t a thing anymore.
Herpes isn’t transmissible through Tinder or Sext’ing.
And in case, you’re really behind the times, the Cold War ended.

I’ve been there a few times for myself & partner and the attention is always excellent

An awesome Urgent Care has now turned into a completely overpriced ER. At ER prices, why wouldn’t I just go to an actual hospital as that is where I would eventually be transported anyway?! A perfect example of not knowing when to leave well enough alone *sigh*

Went all the time with previous group who were the best– treated them like a primary care Dr. Current company that moved in last spring leaves much to be desired. Last fall took daughter and sat 40 min in room while Dr. and two aides sat chatting about life in nurse’s station. Took my mother at Christmas. FCCC does’t take medicare (but not published anywhere to know) and wanted $ 167 for just evaluation. Gone for past four years getting kids physicals but this weekend nail in the casket was «sorry we have no history so cant do without paperwork from primary that we arent going to get because we are an emergency room.

For the most part this place was good. But not fast. I am in early pregnancy and had major bleeding. Very worried. Very scared. I’m sure all you expectant mothers can relate.
I don’t know why but the only thing that angers me about this place was that they were terribly slow.
–slow to check me in
–slow to see me
–ultrasound tech was slow to arrive
–results were fast to process, slow to be received.
The only other good thing is that they don’t charge you again for 72 hours after your initial visit. Still… Very expensive and slow.
Also, VERY IMPORTANT:
They refused to give me information on my own issue over the phone. For example, they wouldn’t even let me speak to the doctor that saw me!
I don’t know about you, but I for one, would appreciate some info about my issue over the phone since I was not able to physically go down to the clinic!
Something has to change there. They need to become a little more accommodating to parents!

The prices have gone way up since it is now Fossil Creek Complete Care. I took my son in for severe allergies. I don’t have insurance, and I am cash pay. It was obvious that my son did not have strep throat, but they proceeded to test him anyway. Without asking me if I would like it done, for an extra $ 30. Of course the test came back negative.
I had been to this clinic when it was Urgent Care twice before. The Dr. s were always very thorough and conscientious of the fact I was self pay and did not do unnecessary testing without first asking me.
I couldn’t be more unhappy with the service I recieved. I will never go back to this clinic again.

I used to think this place was great — that was when it was Fossil Creek URGENT Care. Now it is COMPLETE care and considered an Emergency Room. I am not giving this place 2 stars based on the level of care — I still think they did a good job, and we don’t have to wait long when we go. However, I won’t be using them anymore because if I need an ER, I will just go to the hospital.
Be aware they will charge emergency room prices, and very high ones at that! The charges they send to insurance are outrageous, $ 50 for Tylenol? After a fairly large copay, we got another bill for about $ 1000 that they said we still owed — on a $ 7000 bill to insurance! Some items on there we never even had done, like a chest X-​ray. The bill was reviewed, and lowered — but still very high. Then we were told «not to worry» about the balance due, all we needed to pay was the copay we already did. I realize they won’t get the $ 4500 from the insurance company, but what they try to charge is absolutely ridiculous. It’s part of a larger problem with health care, but I won’t be using them for any of my visits anymore.

Took my son in last week. The ladies at the front desk were very nice & even helped me fill out my paperwork since I was unable to due to my son vomiting. We got to a room within only 10 minutes of being there. The male nurse Juan was very helpful as was Dr. Van Delden. They took excellent care of my child & addressed all my concerns. I would highly recommend this place if you or any one of your family members need urgent care right away.

Great staff. Quick service and nice long hours. They listen to the patient and work with you to give you the best care.

Dr didn’t actually want to listen or give advise, she just wanted to hurry us through and move on. We would love to use this as our primary care, but they just don’t care enough to make that happen. It’s sad when your dr could be 3 blocks away, but all you are is a number. Remember when Dr’s actually cared???

This has to be the best experience I have had at an urgent care clinic. The FNP who saw me was so attentive to my needs and ensured that every base was covered when providing my care. From the moment I walked in and when i checked out the staff at Fossil Creek Urgent Care Clinic were nothing but professional and personable. I will return for any acute episodes.

Everyone I encountered on their staff was so nice and welcoming. They made me feel at ease and so glad that I chose to go there.

I love this place, the staff and Dr. Joel are really professional and great.
There is no other doctor I go to but Joel no matter what.
I have so much faith on him
I really, really recommend it.

Quick service and friendly staff. First time to visit and will be back.
