Business Owner

Nina «Sam» Hibler is a native Texan living in San Antonio. She is a full time artist working in glass and owner of Dream Fire Glass Studio. Her work shows the influenced of the deep and colorful culture in Texas. Sam’s inspiration the vibrant colors, traditional symbols and music are apparent in her work. Her beads and finished jewelry are international known. Sam shares her love of fire and glass teaching in her studio, Southwest School of Art, and in venues across the United States.

Her education and experience is multifaceted. Sam majored in art/​metals and biology receiving a BS from Stephen F. Austin. When working Sam draws on her knowledge as an artist, silver smith and scientist. Chemistry and physics are very helpful when melting glass. Movement, color and depth are important elements in all of her work. Glass is the perfect medium for Sam. Flameworking glass allows her to incorporate intricate, fluid details into her work.
