unbeatable prices on wires and accessories as compared to radio shack… never bought a computer from here

I spoke to 2 different people on the phone, looking for a specific part. I should have gotten an idea that things wouldn’t go so simply after the first person said yes, they had the part but put me on hold for 10 minutes while he checked, then disconnected. The 2^nd person said yes, they had the part, depending on which one I went with it would be $ 19 or $ 29. I drove across town at rush hour. The girl at the counter wasn’t helpful, couldn’t understand what I was asking for until I showed her the part that I brought with me. She took it into the back to ask someone back there. Then came out and said they don’t carry it, they’d have to order it and it would be $ 39.

Have me waiting for 20 minutes in store to tell me my desired computer is sold out is one issue I consider nonissue. The issue is having me wait in store while you answer several phone calls before waiting on a customer in store.

Had some crazy virus on my laptop and took it in so they could nuke it and do a fresh install of everything. They took longer than I had was expecting but got the job done. Thing was after I got my laptop home I found out they had not installed all the basic drivers. To deactivate the touchpad (I use a mouse) and trying to use Bluetooth didn’t work. Not a big deal I downloaded them myself but I would have thought they would do that. Makes me wonder if they missed anything else. Yes they got rid of the virus and that is what I wanted them to do but more attention to detail I would think could help.

That is what I need to know after ambling into PC outlet on a Friday at 5pm and getting g a crisp, nonchalant text that Saturday afternoon informing me that my laptop had been EVICTED, and needed to evacute their premises.
That’s right… less than a 24 hour turn around time.
What were they fixing? Well, as I am a verified member of MENSA and 3x Jeopardy Grand Master, of course I outsmarted myself with my own password… these things happen. And my LCD screen may have had a scratch on it. And by scratch, I mean crack. And by crack I mean gnarly spiderweb of despair that rendered my screen black and unreadable.
So: no password and a blacked out screen on Friday, then password decrypted with gleaming new screen (I can see ALL DEM PIXELS shawty) on Saturday.
The clencher that made me come out of Unilocal hiding??? They had the NERVE, the unmitigated GALL to charge me $ 50 less than their original quote.
Bruh… $ 50 less, with a 24 hour turnaround. I have… so much more time… and so much more money. $ 50 is like…3 crappy webcams from craigslist, 1 pack of Marlboro 27s and a glittery pair of chanclas from the ⁷⁄₁₁ clearance table. I’m ready for my loft across from the Pearl Brewery with these savings. I’m just honest.
Long story short, quick and friendly service for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

I sent their customer service department an email asking them to give me a rough estimate on a laptop and desktop I was looking to sell. I explained in detail what the models were and just wanted a rough ball park to see if it was worth me driving across town or not. They responded with a canned «please bring your items in for a quote» comment. I then went back and forth with them 2 more times trying to get at least a range before they just responded «not interested». Whoever responded didn’t even have the guts to sign their name. Just rude.

Tried to buy a motherboard and CPU but it looks like this «computer» store doesn’t sell these items.

Went to sell my electronics (the ones their webiste says they bought) and that store only takes full computers, laptops, and monitors. Wouldnt even look at my 1tb hdd I had.

Maybe others have had a better experience, but this was not my favorite place. The usb cable to the keyboard on my tablet got crushed somehow. Unfortunately, the usb is connected to the keyboard, so I can’t just replace it on my own. When I walked in, a girl with very short shorts and heavy make up said «do you have a question?» So, I explained what happened. She just said «No, we can’t fix that, you are better off buying a new one.» Okay, I figured that would probably be the case. So then I asked if she had another tablet keyboard with usb. She said «Nope, we don’t have that.» It just seemed like she was more ready to get rid of me and made absolutely no effort to resolve the issue. Verdict: probably a great place for low priced new items, but don’t try to get anything fixed here.

I love this store! Lots of neat gadgets, gizmos, and pieces and parts for older pc’s, peripheral and bags and keyboards and mice and oh my my!
This reseller of off lease Dell computers has one of the friendliest and most helpful staffs i have come across in retail. they should market their customer service philosophy!

Yes! Finally, my dad bought a PC. Rick was there and very helpful; I really appreciated Rick working with my dad to help him (Dad) pick out a useful refurbished PC. I think the store has a very nice selection of PCs and laptops.

I went in yesterday when one of the raid dives in my CT Scanners RCU failed, I had called around looking for a replacement with exact specs and was having difficulty locating one, when i remembered swinging by this location in the past.
Not only did they have a number of options they had the exact model i was looking for. I ended up attempting to swap the drives myself as a technician could not be available on such sort notice (and our CT Scanner is a major component in our operation).
At this point the power supply went ahead and died on me as well. So i had to make a second trip. This time i brought the whole unit in and Robert helped me get it back up and working. this was a major relief as i thought i might have damaged it beyond repair while attempting to fix it.
So i want to say thank you to Robert as he went above and beyond the call of duty to not only help resolve my issue but also to answer all my questions as well.
This is a great business which provides a valuable service to people not just looking to buy a whole new device but also those who need help maintaining existing devices as well.

I brought my laptop in and was told it would be $ 110 to get a neiw screen. When i went to pick it up they charged me $ 160. I’ve heard from others that this place rips you off. Be sure to get any estimate in writing as you sure cant trust the employees. I suggest you go elsewhere. Negative 5 stars for these theives.

When I read the Internet reviews I decided PCOutlet had ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of being overrated (you know — a savvy company that rates itself high) or a good deal. After visiting them, I was surprised how great of a business they have going. — Good deals and great customer service! I needed a basic laptop with a dual core processor for my brother who’s in college. I found a perfect laptop (Dell Inspiron D620) for 250, add antivirus and tax, the total came to $ 300. This was a much better deal than what I found on the Dell Refurbished Site. Also, there was no bloatware hogging the memory. Customer service was great too, Zack N. helped pick out the best computer that matched my criteria without acting like a cellphone salesperson… All in all I’d recommend PCOutlet and will go back next time I need a computer.

Just got back from taking my laptop here to be rescued — it would seem to start but nothing would show on the screen. Very friendly, extremely helpful service from Robert, who hooked my computer up to an external monitor (which they couldn’t do at Best Buy) and was able to transfer all of my data on to a external hard drive for about $ 50. He also gave me some honest, useful suggestions with regards to purchasing another laptop without being pushy at all. The rapport between Mario, Robert, and Zach made my necessary wait time fly. I highly recommend this location and staff! Thanks for all your help!

I only go to PC outlet for my computer needs! They prices are the best in town and staff is super friendly and attentive even when the store is busy! If you are looking for stuff like HDMI cables it would be in your best interest to hit up PC Outlet. Like I said they have the best prices in town. Your wallet will thank you!

Had a great experience here the other day, the representatives were professional and courteous. The store itself was neat and clean. Except for the demanding, loud customers that come in after you have arrived and have been in there for 10 minutes already it was an easy transaction.

Avoid this place at all costs. I bought a hard drive for them to install in an all-​in-​one machine only to get constantly jerked around on the price. At first it was $ 15, then it was $ 40, then they said $ 120 (two hours’ labor). They refused to refund my money on the drive when I said that was unacceptable and refused to refund the original $ 15 I paid for installation. Apparently five minutes of searching Google counts as «labor» in their book. Prior to that I’d had ups and downs with hardware I’d purchased. DVD burners would either work forever or crap out after a week. I’ve had about a 50% failure rate (within 6 months of purchase) on hard drives.
There are many better (and more honest) places to take your money. Don’t get ripped off.

This place rocks. They are my favorite computer store in San Antonio period. I was surprised to see they were open on Sunday but are glad they are. These guys can fix your old machine or sell you a new one cheap. The day I was in there they had computers for fifty bucks. How do these guys stay in business with prices like this?
