History

Established in 1981.

The company began as a dealer for Dictation and Transcription products. Generically called dictaphones (Dictaphone is a Registered Trademark of Nuance Corp.). We also were Dealers for Sony, Philips, Code-a-Phone and several other well known companies. We are still in the Dictation/Transcription products business. In the mid-80’s some dictation systems were moving into the digital world on large server based platforms. At that time voice mail and auto attendants were beginning to show up in the market place. Because the technology was common to dictation/transcription systems we wanted to be in that market as well. We were already connecting many of our products to telephone systems. Today we are Certified Dealers for Philips, Olympus, ESI, Dolbey Systems, Panasonic, JIVE and a few other necessary products to round out our offerings. The one thing that has remained constant past the technology is our dedication to superior customer service.

Meet the Business Owner

Richard S.

Business Owner

Ranch raised by my grandparents I grew up with an independent streak. My early years were in an area close to Marble Falls, TX. Graduated in 1968 from MFHS. Went to the University of Texas at Austin and started my professional work career in that city. I did my time in fast food restaurants, had my own restaurant in Austin for a while and went into sales of office equipment. I was actually hired by a Whataburger customer that started a conversation with me when I was on the cash register. I then spent a couple of years with Dictaphone and Sony came along and made me an offer. That required me to move to San Antonio (guess they wanted to get rid of the competition). I spent 4 years as Branch Manager, one year at AB Dick as sales manager and then started this company with $ 10.00 Cash, a full tank of gas, and a carton of cigarettes. I was good to go.
