Deerwood Family Practice

I have been looking for a new doctor and saw Karen Williams for the first time today. I am very pleased so far! I have very high standards and am not easy to please, so I have little tolerance for rushed, rude, apathetic, or incompetent office staff, assistants or doctors. Wow, that makes me sound bad, but it’s the truth lol.
The waiting area, office and patient rooms are clean and very welcoming. The front office staff greeted me immediately and were warm and cheerful. The assistant who took me back was so nice, chatty, and immediately made me feel at ease. I did not have to wait long to see the doctor at all, and she was warm, thorough, and took her time. It seems most doctors are so cold and rushed these days, and I understand why they can get that way with their patient load but it nice to see one who isn’t. The tests they wanted to do for me are very comprehensive and I found that impressive as well since that’s not been my experience with other doctors in recent years. It may be a little early, but I’m looking forward to building a relationship here and I believe I’ve finally found my long term home for my health care needs. I would definitely recommend them to others!

I move a lot, and I always dread the time to find a new doctor. It’s still all the obligatory paperwork, but the office staff made it painless and I was able to print it from home and leisurely fill it out. I had found out about Shawn from a fellow mom in the neighborhood and I couldn’t be happier that I went in. They were super accommodating with my need to come at certain times and from the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and welcomed. There was basically no wait and after I had my vitals taken and some questions asked by a nurse, I was looking at the doctor 11 minutes after my appt time. She was friendly, efficient (but not rushed feeling at all) and knowledgeable. She came across very helpful, but not «judge-​y» (you know what I’m talking about)! She has established the perfect balance of casual family practice with professionalism, and I love it!
