Love this location. I always order the 2 piece breast and wing meal(#1 on the menu) with a sweet tea and okra for the side. I definitely need to indulge in this greasy-ness after the experience I just had at benefit brow bar. The food is always fresh and hot and the employees are always nice. I’ve never had one bad experience here!

The BBQ wings here are great. The drink machines need to be replaced ASAP as the drinks just taste off(it’s hard to describe it tastes like a combination of not enough carbonation and too much syrup). The lady running the drive-thru could not understand me even though I was shouting and I tried to tell her the wings were not the right flavor, but she reassured me they were so I pulled around the side and tried them and sure enough they were not BBQ. The color and smell should have been dead giveaways. The biscuits are extremely dry/hardand you’d be doing yourself to pass on them. I don’t know what it is about all the Church’s in San Antonio but they ALL look rundown and way overdue for remodels.

Got the craving for fried chicken and decided to stop by Church’s. Ordered the 3 piece chicken meal with a biscuit and mashed potato side. The chicken wasn’t as crispy as I had hoped. It just seemed like it wasn’t fried on the spot and was sitting out for a while. The biscuit was coated with honey and I wasn’t a huge fan of it. It’s not flaky and fresh. The mashed potatoes were pretty standard with the buttery taste and gravy. Overall, it was ok. I really hope that the next time we get Church’s we get some better chicken though. I just always imagined their chicken to have that special crunch when I bite into it. Hopefully, today was just an off day.
