Meet the Manager

Chris M.

Manager

Chris began his culinary career washing dishes at Bennigan’s in San Antonio. He was quickly promoted to line cook then kitchen supervisor.

In 1998 he moved to Denver to attend the Colorado Institute of Art, graduating from their School of Culinary Arts with honors in March, 1999. While attending culinary school he gained experience ast Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Simms Landing (Landry’s Corp.), The Palomino in downtown Denver, and at the Adams Mark Hotel in their banquets department, Trattoria’s, and Bravo’s Ristorante. After graduation he came back to San Antonio and went to work for Westin La Cantera Hotel and Resort where he was Lead Cook at Brannon’s Café.

In September, 2001 he began cooking part time at his family’s business, Charlie Brown’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill and using the commercial kitchen for catering jobs. In September, 2003, he decided to leave The Westin and manage the kitchen for Charlie Brown’s and focus on the catering business full time.
