Casa Ritmo Zumba & Latin Dance Studio, the premier private Zumba studio in San Antonio nestle in beautiful Castle Hills at the corner of Blacno & Oblate just inside loop 410 in the same plaza as the Blanco Café, 5525 Blanco Rd # 111 San Antonio TX 78 216.

We offer Zumba & Zumba Toning classes daily Monday thru Saturday to participants 13yrs old and up. Zumbatomic for children 4−12yrs on Saturdays.

History

Established in 2011.

Casa Ritmo opened its doors in February 2011 and has become the proud home of 100’s of new Zumba family members in NC San Antonio!

Business Owner

Melissa is a native to sunny S. Florida, where tropical music fills the salty air. It was there that her passion for Latin music and dance was ignited! In late 2002 totally entranced by Salsa and Bachata music, Melissa started dancing in social clubs throughtout S. Florida quickly becoming one of the most known social dancers in SW Fl. In 2003 she began to train professionally under some of the world’s BEST dancers, instructors, performers and competitors… In 2004 She opened her 1st of 3 Latin Dance Schools. She is currently the owner and Head Salsa Instructor of Salsafix Dance Co. here in SATX & Fl as well as owner and programs director of Casa Ritmo Zumba & Latin Dance Studio in beautiful Castle Hills Texas. She brings her vision and passion for Latin Dance & Zumba to life every where she goes!

Dishonest. My wife purchase 10 sessions and were told they would not expire at the time of purchase. After undergoing chemo my wife returned to the studio 6 months after purchase with 5 remaining sessions. She was told her sessions had expired and would have to purchase more. The owner said they’re under new ownership since the membership was purchased and would not work with my wife in any way. Buyer beware when dealing with this place.

I really like Casa ritmo. They have great Zumba instructors. I just wish they would offer morning classes!
I have been practicing Zumba for a long time and in different places and they are (in my opinion) one of the best so far!

My favorite Zumba studio in the San Antonio area! Great instructors with an excellent variety of intensity levels. I only wish they offered more classes (Mornings, additional Tuesday/​Thursday, Friday & Sunday.) A few extra fans in the studio would be a great addition, too! Regardless, the dance moves in Casa Ritmo live up to the San Antonio heat! :)

After trying Zumba at a few other plsces, I thought I knew what it was about… nope! I was blown away by the energy the instructor brings to the class. Plus, you can tell that they love doing Zumba and dancing. It keeps my motivated and I have a smile on my face when doing the moves.
There is mostly women in the classes but I have seen a few men on occasions join the classes.
The front desk sells water if needed which is helpful when I forget.
I just visited a friend and went to her Zumba class… it just reminds me how casa ritmo rocks. I will be back there soon

The instructors are great. Have basic boot camps to see if you like Salsa and you can take more if you like to what ever level you like. Great for couples and singles alike. Very reasonably priced and if you stick with it have opportunities for plenty of individualized instruction even in the group environment. No high pressure and very fun atmosphere. I recommend giving it a try if you have ever had the slightest interest in Latin dance.

I bought a Groupon for 10 Zumba sessions for $ 30. The normal price is 10 for $ 59 or unlimited for $ 70. I have taken Zumba at many gyms and this place was SO MUCH BETTER! It is a small dance studio in a strip mall, no other equipment there. The class size is small enough where you have space to dance and can see the teacher no matter where you are standing. Some of the Zumba classes I have been to elsewhere are so packed that you cannot really even move and you can only see the teacher part of the time.
They offer convenient morning and evening classes, they specify whether the classes being offered are low/​med/​high impact and they even offer kids classes. The sign up process was super easy and the instructors are fun! I saw where someone reviewed that you have to learn the steps on your own because they do not call them out, but that is how it is at nearly all of the Zumba classes I have ever taken anywhere. I got used to that approach and now prefer it!
The only downside is that they do not have a water fountain at the studio so if you want water you have to buy it or bring it yourself. I am definitely a fan and will be signing up with them after my Groupon deal is over.

Although very fun to dance there, you have to pretty much learn the steps on your own. They show you once, kinda run over it step by step. I’m only use to step by step choreographed numbers. Here at Casa Ritmo they are very nice and show passion for dance but do not gradually work into it. They are good at it but not great at teaching it. So you’re pretty much looking silly for the first 3 or 4 chorus lines trying to learn the step. Its alright, wish the instructors were more dance teachers than anything else. I suggest to them to divide from beginner, intermediate, etc.

Great place to work out and have fun! I’ve been taking classes since February and enjoyed every minute of it. Great atmosphere, positive instructors, high energy and fun music. If you’ve never tried Zumba before, this is the place to do it.
