This is my spot! The crowd is always chill, always local! They have great live music and awesome DJ’s!
Most nights there is a Mexican street food truck parked outside. The beer selection is on point. They have Crafts and the Texas standard: Lonestar. Great price points!
Before I came for the first time, a friend told me a story about how the last time he was there someone punched out an undercover cop who was talking trash. My immediate reaction was, «So this is the bar of my people!»
The staff here is awesome, The bartenders are attentive and know what their doing, the security crew makes sure everyone is safe while they let loose. This is a bar for everyone, you’ll see folks in suits, and then you’ll see booty shorts. Its just a cool mixture of people.
Come to BBSC if you want to have a good time! So many fun nights here already, I know there is more to come.

Just moved into the city and am trying to find good places to hang out. I felt unsafe in the area this place is located with the graffiti on the dumpster and no sign for the business. There is limited parking. I will not be back.

I went on a rainy day, so I didn’t get the full experience. First, let’s talk about the beer choices. Wow. So many great craft beer choices; I had an extremely hard time choosing! The bartenders were pretty great at helping me decide too — they sure knew their stuff.
The bar here has an outside patio and an inside. The inside was crowded and loud (live music). However, they had at least one Jenga set, and two darts. They have one bathroom inside (that was broken on my visit), and two port-​a-​potties outside. When we went it was raining on and off all night; and you had to trek through the mud. I didn’t brave the bathrooms that day.
Interestingly enough, they also have a basketball hoop and court in the outside patio and a fire pit.
Overall, I enjoyed myself. And I’d love to go back on a day where I could sit outside and not get drenched.

Bikepunk and hard. Found on my way across country and was exactly what I needed. All local brews from the bottle, just the right amount of cliques, everyone was living fast.
Don’t bother if you can’t poop in an open stall.

First time visiting and it wasn’t busy, but the atmosphere was still a lot of fun! My friends and I enjoyed the live music, as well as the beautiful weather for sitting outside. The place is rough around the edges but super relaxed. There wasn’t a lot of seating options but we were lucky to get a picnic table. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to visiting again!

They serve up craft cocktails, and take their beer list seriously, but they still serve the classics, like Lone Star Beer!
The décor is somewhat divey, but it’s comfortable. There’s picnic tables outside for you to hang out in, many of which is under the shade of giant oak trees.
When I came here, they had a dj spinning records with a laser light show that was pretty trippy!
It’s a good place to bike in to. The really encourage bicyclists, and have all kinds of parking for them.
They often have a food truck there on site to cure those midnight munchies. Overall, this place is fun, great tunes, cold beers, and friendly people!

Bring positive vibes or stay at the door. This place is amazing, always throwing some event with good jams. The bar is stocked with liquor favorites AND has an amazing craft beer selection. Chill inside listen to the jams (also live bands) and play some jumbo Jenga. Step outside where they have food for sale (sometimes) and large patio setting.
They also host viewing parties on a large screen projection outside. Again, don’t ruin this place with your bad vibes. Keep an open mind and good times are had.

This is a great time when you want to party without the pretension. It’s definitely a chill spot, jorts and hats abound. The beer is cheap, cold, and still craft. They manage to provide tons of local beer options for all kinds of palates. The bartenders are really friendly and ready to answer any questions about the selection. I love the fact that the crowd is mixed with a ton of different types of people wanting to relax, drink, and dance. I went during a Wreck the Decks event, and it’s great to see San Anto folks tearing up, getting down, and supporting their local music scene.
Roll in on your bike. They offer and actually encourage bike patrons, which is a nice change of pace. You have your choice of inside or outside, so pick your poison. I floated in and out. Dancing inside, people shooting the shit and conversing outside. The energy was high and people were having a great time. I like a bar that is optimistic enough to have a giant Jenga game in a room full of drunk people. The mood was infectious. This is definitely a dive bar, but one you’ll want to dive right into. I’ll be back, BBSC.

This place is very cool… Local craft beers, full bar, live jazz on Tuesday, board games and BIG jenga!.. On other days they also have really good dj’s and live music acts of different types … The vibe there is really relaxed and fun. The patrons are fun and not trouble makers. They also have darts and an awesome patio area in back where they also play music. All of the employees were fun and seemed to love their jobs! I will be back soon…

BBSC is such an awesome, friendly place. Cheap but GOOD craft beer, along with your cheapos like Lonestar and PBR, and good prices on liquor as well. The place itself is very clean, despite having that dive bar charm, and the patio area is awesome as well. What really sets it apart is the owners/​bartenders; three super friendly guys that you can tell are putting a lot of time and love into making sure their bar grows the right way and that their patrons are having a good time.

The BBSC never disappoints, always a good time.

Best of all the beer is priced correctly! Too many new places in SA wanna charge $ 4 – 5 for beer that should be $ 1 – 2. (My philosophy is that Lonestar should never be over $ 2.00 anywhere in Texas. After all it is the national beer of our great state! If I ever become Governor, that will be my first order of business, to regulate the price of a Loney across the state to $ 1.00! ;0))

Some tasty tortas and tacos on this visit. There are plenty of cold choices to wash it down with… take your pick from their cool chalkboard menu. Some live music from @Carly Garza, great addition to enjoy this First Friday of 2014! Way to go Tito!

I really dig this place it’s a friendly dive bar off the beaten path away from all the normal spots and strips in town but still pretty much downtown. A variety of live music some nights with kind of a hipster/​locals hang out atmosphere. They have a nice selection of craft beer and way better liquors than most dives, and it’s super bicycle friendly
