Established in 2013.

On March of 2013 Joel bought out the previous pizzeria and brought in Big Slice Pizza. With fresh ingredients and our homemade dough, He had a vision to bring an authentic NY style pizza to the NW side of San Antonio.

On our way to whataburger we discovered this nice little pizza place and decided to stop on to try it. I’m so glad we did! Upon arrival we were greeted by a lady with a very warm welcome. She told us all their different combinations and different things we could get and let us know all the specials. We decided on the pizza (obviously) the wait was about 15 – 20 minutes so if recommend calling ahead of you know what you’d like but it was so worth it! the crust was very thin and crunchy just the way I love it and the perfect amount of sauce. Will 110% be ordering here again and they’ll deliver within a 5 mile radius. The food is great and the price is perfect try something new and come here!

We had a large 3 topping pizza for $ 9.99, which was a great deal. Also, they have an XL for $ 11.99. I believe it’s only 2 toppings though, but light & tasty pizza.

Came here for the first time for lunch and really liked it. The cashier was very friendly and the pizza was better than I expected. I will definitely be visiting again since I work down the street.

This was my first visit to Big Slice and probably my last. It wasn’t horrible but it also wasn’t great. I got the lunch special consisting of 2 slices of Pizza and a drink. It came out to $ 7.57. The price was reasonable, but the quality of the food was just ok. It seems like they just had pre-​cooked Pepperoni pizza sitting in the back then added some Mushrooms on top and heated it up. Like I said, it wasn’t horrible, but it didn’t blow my socks off. It’s reasonably priced so at least they have that going for them. Also, the staff seemed friendly so that’s good as well.

This place has some great and tasty food. The pricing is perfect for my budget. The quality of the food is really above standard. The employees are Friendly and quick. The establishment is clean and quaint.

SERVICE SUCKS!
We went for a late lunch around 1:30 last week. The cashier not only forgot to write down our order waited about 15 minutes to ask us what we ordered.
I thought what the hell???
Only to watch him go to the table next to us and ask them what they ordered.
The gentleman at the next table said he phoned on his order over an hour ago and still waited about 20 minutes.
Thankfully, I’m retired so I have time, but did feel an apology was in order.
Of course we didn’t receive one…
The pizza finally arrived.
It was just average.
Needless to say, we won’t return!

I got the special 2 slices with 2 toppings and a drink for about 6.33. All they did was add the topping I had asked for to an already cooked pepperoni slice as you can see in the picture. A disappointing site when I received my order. The jalapeño pepperoni was alright since they decided last minute. The sausage and pepperoni was disappointing due to the fact that the sausage was still cold and had a hint of that freezer taste. Having said all this ignoring the additional toppings if you get a pepperoni slice it’s actually pretty good. Crust was nice and crispy and taste pretty good. Overall I give it a 2 due to price and presentation/​quality.

The Stromboli keeps us coming back, (even though it takes 30 minutes), just grab a «cold one» while your waiting. Tomato sauce on the side the way it should be. Sooo good! The price and service has always been great also.

This is right down the road and wanted to try it but never had. Too bad cuz it was delicious. Not sure how they stay open cuz there is never any people… but…pretty decent pizza and cheap slices… the cheese pizza was good!

Pleasantly surprised.
I consider myself a stickler when it comes to pizzerias. I am a New Yorker so it is really hard to impress me with your pizza.
When I googled this place it had a 3.5-star rating which is good enough for me to try when it comes to pizza. When I pulled up I was taken aback by the appearance but it turns out this place in my opinion is a hidden gem.
Since I started this original review I have eaten here 3 more times and the quality of food is consistent. I recommend that you order your slice and eat there while the slice is still hot. If you take it home and re-​heat the pizza is not as good.
The service is always friendly and prompt. I have been here on various times of the week at different times and this place is never crowded. I recommend any visiting New Yorker to try this place out. I am not saying this is NYC pizza, but it should hold you over until you get back to the big apple.

This place has a Unilocal mobile coupon for $ 2 off a large. But when I checked in and tried to use it, they said they only accept printed coupons. Not coupons on a mobile device. We left without ordering. Why have a Unilocal mobile coupon? Makes no sense.

Meh, it was okay. The pizza was just so so. Honestly surprised they’re still open. I would order a full pizza instead of a slice since its fresher then the pizza slices that look like they’ve been sitting for hours.

Used to love this pizza. Something has changed. Pizza is super thin, sparse pepperonis, little to no cheese. We gave them 3 chances over the last 3 months and it is terrible tasting. When my not picky 13 year old said the pizza tasted terrible and had no flavor I knew it was bad. They also changed the prices and names of the sizes of pizza so you now pay more for a smaller pizza. We’re done with Big Slice. Sad… it used to be good.

Stopped in on a Friday at 10:30 before going to Dad’s Karaōke Bar across the street. Place is clean, has 3 walls of windows and the cashier/​waitress that greeted us was very friendly. A slice is enough to fill you up without making you feel like a blimp. They have a draft beer happy hour too!
