Better Homes and Bargains

I recently went looking for this place because it is very close to home (or so I thought) & I love second hand furniture. I think it has moved, I couldn’t find it anywhere. I noticed that one reviewer said the phone number listed is wrong, maybe this address is wrong too. I looked it up in yahoo and the address listed is: 11 765 West Ave, San Antonio, TX 78 216 with (866) 815‑8912 as the phone number. I will try this ‘new’ address next time & update then.

Better Homes and Bargains is a once in a lifetime kind of store. I want to burst out in song. Whitney Houston, actually. «AND I… will always love you .» Little pitchy, but people get it when they walk into this place.
Everything is always 50% and negotiable. I was in dire need of a new dresser, long and antique looking — but everyplace I went — they had it wrong. When did dressers become so expensive?
We stopped by just to look but I wasn’t having any of it because everything is pre-​owned (estate sales, dead people), I must use more euphemisms when Unilocaling.
The light shone brightly on this one dresser that was tucked in the corner under a number of other articles of things. But I said, «That’s it». The price tag was $ 500, we talked them down to $ 200 plus tax. Like I said, it is all negotiable.
I am still on the look out for a 1980’s bookshelf backboard for a bed and frequently go into look. I love that place and it loves me.
