BUYER BEWARE! This was an absolute disaster business. I am amazed they are still in business. So here is the story…
My, then fiancé, and I went to visit this wholesale flower market in the hopes of finding the flowers she wanted. There was an Hispanic man that was extremely helpful and his suggestions were wonderful so no fault to him. So we found the flowers we wanted and asked about the prices. Several days later my fiancé placed the order over the phone. The owner actually took the order, hmmm?
So the wedding approaches and my fiancé goes to pick up the flowers. The order was all wrong. Keep in mind the owner placed the order… we had long stem and short stem roses when all we ordered was long stem. Oops number 1. The other flowers were still in the budding phase and there is no way on earth that they would be in bloom for the wedding. Oops number 2. After speaking with the now third employee (never the same employee twice, hmmm), she was told there was some type of volcano in the area and the price had gone up for the roses and there were not enough long stem so they had to replace with short stem. In addition the buds were not open but they would still charge more for closed buds. She was instructed to try leaving them in the sun to see if they would open. Seriously! So knowing there were not a lot of last minute options so after racing all over town she finally found an alternative at HEB… go figure.
Following the wedding she and I went back to this nightmare and attempted to determine what exactly happened with the order and why the prices increased from originally paid for at time of order and why they tried to sell buds and not flowers? We showed up to the counter and there was no one there or anyone around for that matter. After walking through a maze of a building to find someone, we found the owner. We spoke with her about this order and what had happened. Rather than say sorry for any inconvenience or simply the words sorry, she proceeded to tell us what we did wrong. WOW great customer service there. She then began to pick an argument with us on how the long stem roses were the same price as the short stem even though during the order they were different and when going there the first time reviewing the cost were different, for some reason the short roses were the same price as long stems. Crazy right? So rather that offer to credit the $ 30 dollar difference she proceeded to argue with us about a volcano and that her prices never change. Then asked us for the wrapper to prove we received short and long stem roses. After a honeymoon and wedding who keeps the trash lying around??? Like going to McDonald’s and saving your empty bags :-(
PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. THEY CAN’T SEEM TO KEEP EMPLOYEES DUE TO THE OWNER BEING A RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE WOMAN TO US, NO TELLING WHAT SHE SAYS TO HER EMPLOYEES… THEY NEED TO SIMPLY RUN AS FAST AS THEY CAN… RUN…RUN…RUN

I decided to check out this wholesale florist for my wedding on my way to San Antonio College one day. It is a stone’s throw from the campus on McCullough. When I walked in, I was overwhelmed by the fresh scent of flowers and plants. It was like an old tattered up building held the keys to the kingdom.
The service was impeccable. They were with me straight away and wanted to make sure I appreciated their arrangements. I asked for prices for a Do It Yourself job I had in mind for the bridesmaids, but didn’t commit to anything that day. They were still extremely helpful and asked me to take a look around their store after we were finished.
I am glad I had an extra few minutes because this place has the best Christmas ornaments and extras for trees all year round. It was so pretty and I was totally tempted to buy 5 or 6 ornaments but it was only September and my husband would have had a cow.
I plan to take the kids back there to pick an ornament this year (as a fun tradition). It really is a neat place to check out, if you are in the area.
