This is a good place to go for some spicy salsa, iced tea and friendly service. Our waitress Rachel was very attentive and told interesting stories. I’m glad we took the trip downtown to try this place. The reason for visiting is because we really love the salsa at Bee’s at Castle Hills which is their sister restaurant. We’ll be back.

Local taco joint in the heart of the city. Great pozole, free chips and salsa — as they always should be. Try their pan dulces.

I live downtown and eat tacos multiple times per week. This is definitely my favorite spot. Good quality breakfast tacos, great prices, and the wait staff is super friendly.

This is the worst service I’ve ever encounter in my entire 25 year life of eating. We came with a group of 13 willing and ready to chow down via a tip we recieved from a local information guide. «A hole» in the wall place is right, the service was categorically bad. If you’re coming here with the intention of getting exactly what you’re craving, do yourself a favor and throw all those inhibitions out the window. We ordered 3 one pound fajita platters that stated it came with guacamole, pico de gallo, 1 pound of beef/chicken fajitas with onions and bell peppers, beans, rice, and 6 tortillas. First, they had no chicken nuggets for our kids; fine. Then they had no beef; fine. Then they only brought out two platters of meat that somehow magically had beef mixed in. We received one small portion of everything else and was told that we would have to pay extra for all the rest of what came with the meal… Yeah, I know, dumb. The waiter was the rudest person I’ve ever come across at a restaurant, so much so that the urge to strike him came over me multiple times. After having to literally repeat over and over what their own menu said we were to receive, they sluggishly brought out what we were rightfully paying for one dish at a time. I personally even heard said waiter say that«we are the ones that choose to come here» as if to say it’s our fault that they suck. By the time all the sides we so eagerly had to fight for came out, we didn’t need them because the meat was already gone. The list goes on and on, take my advice, this place should be shut down or fire everyone who works there. The food was extremely sub par, so that couldn’t even make up for anything. Heed my warnings, do not go here.

If your looking for a good fruteria with reasonable prices, this is the place. It is also a «hole in the wall». It actually reminds me of MX, which I like. They have a open cooler with a variety of fruit cups. You can have a mix or just one type of fruit. It is a good size portion for $ 3. On a hot day if your walking near Mercado area, you can’t find a cheaper or fresher tasting fruit. They also carry 1 – 2 different aguas frescas. They serve both breakfast & lunch with mexican options. Their breakfast tacos are cheap and good, nice tortilla, good salsa. The lunch didn’t sit well with my husband. If you are looking for a fruteria near the mercado or downtown for that matter, this is the place. I have been several times for a fruit cup or agua, and have a;ways been pleased.
