Facilitating the process to reach communication potential is the primary goal of the Speech & Language Center at Stone Oak.

Founded in 1998 by speech-​language pathologist, Barbara A. Samfield, MA-​CCC/​SLP, the Speech & Language Center at Stone Oak was the first private speech center established in the Stone Oak medical community.

In 2014, the SLCSO moved to its current medical office space at Sonterra Medical Park in Building Two (225 E. Sonterra Boulevard, Suite 120).
