History

Established in 2003.

Artistic Pursuits Fine Art Photography started and flourished in Pittsburgh PA but photographer and visual artist Robert Strovers relocated back to the San Antonio area in 2011 and found a home in the DIgnowity Hill historic district in mid-​2012. Dignowity Hill is located just minutes from downtown San Antonio on the east side of I-​37.

Specializing in original visual art with a focus on urban and industrial textures, automotive and structural abstracts and studies. Roberts is scalable in size and suitable for home, office and commercial décor.

In addition Artistic Pursuits also offers custom framing, custom wide format fine art printing and presentation. Available for commissioned projects and free lance photography assignments as well.

Business Owner

A former telecommunications industry professional that turned a creative avocation into an artistic pursuit, Robert’s eye finds potential subject matter throughout the environment in which we live. Not satisfied with just composition and capturing the image Robert that the true power and impact of the composition comes to life in the print and presentation so has learned the technical art of fine art wide format printing to produce amazingly colorful and crisp works of art.

Significant accomplishments include being chosen as the primary artist for the Fairmont Hotel in Pittsburgh PA with over 450 pieces in the hotel. Robert’s work can be found in the corporate collections of PNC Bank and UPMC Hospital system also in Pittsburgh.

Family matters brought Robert back to San Antonio after a 33 year absence that took him to Wyoming, Western New York and Western Pennsylvania.
