The nail tech Kimbra is very professional and personable. Her creativity is awesome. I constantly get compliments on my nails but those compliments belong to Kimbra. I’m very impressed with her choice to use nail lines that limit the chemicals in the product making my nail experience safer.

I do not trust easily when it comes to my hair. So changing salons is a bit of anxiety for me. I am very pleased with this salon. I have gone to a Paul Mitchell salon since 2009 but was looking for a new salon since I moved. This salon is neat and clean. The staff is friendly. Andrew did an awesome job on my hair. I like his enthusiasm for his work and I can’t wait until my next appointment with Andrew.

This negative review only applies to the nail technician. Blonde, middle-​aged, and abrasive. Did not enjoy my conversation with her due to her lack professionalism. She explained what the ‘dip system’ entailed with the attitude of a 15 year old. I wasn’t impressed, but maybe those reading this will have better luck, or at least more patience. The facilities were quite nice and the front staff friendly and helpful. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I am new to the area. I very picky and super nervous about trying out new hair salons. I had my previous stylist and stayed with her for 6 years! Anyhoo, I needed a new stylist for San Antonio.
Angela was my stylist here. I had root touch up and a bang trim. She did a fabulous job! I was very pleased and satisfied with everything. The staff is super friendly. Angela is really great… Omg the hair washing and head massage was heavenly! And she styles my hair so great when all was done.
She is def my go to lady here in the San Antonio area. :)

I’m not sure how this place has a five star rating. I had a horrible experience here. Let me just start off by saying that the owner is very nice and friendly. The actual location was perfectly fine. There was ample parking in front of the place and it was clean and organized inside the actual salon.
All that being said though a beautiful storefront does not make up for pure lack in skill. I went in to get full highlights on my hair. What I ended up with was something out of a witchcraft book. Please see my pictures for how my hair looked after I got the full highlights. It was truly a disaster. I ended up with white/​gray streaks in my light brown hair. I went in the next day to have it corrected and it honestly did not look much better. In the end, I wasted $ 180 and had to go to another salon (Mint) where they corrected my hair with the best color job I’ve ever had in my life. Please do not make the same mistake I did. While the owner is incredibly nice, it’s not worth botched hair.

I came in 30 mins before closing (I thought they’d close later in the evening) and they were still willing to give me a haircut. Angela is AMAZING. Very personable and quirky so I felt comfortable whenever I wanted to change up something; she always tried to make sure that I got the right look I wanted even though it was an hour after closing. I highly recommend this salon and Angela as well! You’ll definitely get great service and quality. I’ll definitely come back again for touch ups!

This salon is gorgeous and super professional! I got my hair cut by Angela and she did an outstanding job. I highly recommend using her as your permanent stylist!

After growing out my hair (and ombré) for a year, I realized that I desperately needed a change. I saw Angela, and showed her that I wanted to cut at six inches off and get a full set of highlights. Feeling impulsive, I also decided to change my brunette hair to a slight copper to auburn shade. I’m so glad I did! From just one picture, Angela really honed it on what I was looking for and complete revamped my thick and dead hair. She even styled my hair and layered it so it now looks sleek and healthy. I’ll be back in a month to retone my hair to keep it as red as possible and to get much needed trims from Angela.

Shelly is the best with wax that I know in San Antonio. I’ve had bad experiences at cheaper salons. But since coming here, it’s been my only place for waxing in the past 2 years!

I wasn’t going to write a review but I haven’t been able to shake the feeling the stylist gave me. It’s been while since I was there so unfortunately I can’t remember who it was that cut my hair. I tried this place out based on the reviews, hoping I would have the same experience. As soon as I walked in it started off uncomfortable. I meet my stylist who seemed rushed and the first thing she said to me is, you never wash your hair before a color treatment. That’s going to be an extra $ 20 for drying. Then I show here a picture of what I want and she begins throwing prices at me in a condescending manner, it’s going to $ 100 for that and another $ 100 for allover… I went in expecting to pay a lot for my hair but I was not expecting the treatment I received. She talked to me like I was an idiot. Plus it was a nonstop berate how my hair was previously cut badly, you never do that, you never go there. I don’t remember receiving one compliment. I told her I wear my hair straight majority of the time and she told me I’m going to have to learn how to curl it. I give her credit for making my hair look like the picture but I would have been happier if she would have listened to me repeatedly telling her how I normally wear my hair. She told me it wouldn’t look good straight. So then why wouldn’t she figure out a way to accommodate both looks? She didn’t talk to me the entire time my hair was processing. Basically, she didn’t make me feel welcomed or could care less for my repeat business. I left with my hair looking great «curled» but when I straightened it I had a huge chunk of highlighted hair on one side of my head. There are what looks like horizontal stripes across the length of my hair from the highlights. The ONE great thing this salon did for me was give me a military discount. Needless to say I won’t be going back.

GLORIA! Her coloring skills even exceed her cutting expertise. Five stars totally deserved.

Got the exact cut I wanted. I brought in a picture and Denise did it perfect I will be for color in a few weeks. Love this place.

After getting confused & dismayed by the lack of reviews for therapeutic massage places near me (I’m in the Medical Center neighborhood), I finally took a chance based on a single review and booked an appointment with Sebastian at AnisElla’s. WOW. I have back/​neck issues due to some previous car accidents and I’ve had all kinds of body work in the past, some good, some bad.
Sevastian falls into the awesome category. Not only did I feel totally comfortable with him, but he listened to my needs and adjusted his swedish massage accordingly. I went in there in a LOT of pain and left feeling quite a bit better. I slept well and the next day most of the tightness and pain was gone. At least three other staff members told me stories about getting treated by him and having their pain disappear. He knows his stuff!
I’m new to San Antonio and I’m so relieved to find such a high-​quality massage therapist who is a true healer.

I’ve had my hair colored twice here in the past few months and the two stylists who helped me both did a wonderful job each time! Very friendly, thorough staff.

I have been going to Anisella’s for a while now and I love it. This review is long overdue!
There are two main reasons why I go:
— Savastian, their masseur, is amazing! I’ve been looking for «the one» for quite a while, and in various cities as I travel a lot, and I can definitely say that Sebastian is it. I personally prefer swedish massage methods, but Sebastian has great knowledge in other methods. He also uses his «powers» to customize the massage based on my needs — it’s like getting tailor-​made clothes rather than going with the US size chart. You also leave so satisfied that although you wish they never end, you do not feel like your body needs another one in a week.
— Gloria, owner, and hair cut and color artist, leaves my hair looking healthy and stylish every single time. I love Paul Mitchell products, and that’s why I initially went to this salon. Gloria has cut and colored my hair plenty of times and I always leave happy. I also think that a sign of a good salon is how well your hair is washed (a head massage is always a plus!), and they definitely do a great job — shows that they care about you and your hair (and I love my hair).
Both are also very professional, friendly and warm and every time I go I feel like I am there to hang out with friends. Their rest of the staff are the same way and that says a lot about this salon, not just these two individuals. I am looking forward to getting a facial and a manicure done there as well. Maybe tomorrow?

I love AnisElla’s and what Sam did to my hair. I went in for a cut and a consultation on an ombré and decided to go for it. The clean, well-​decorated and comfortable salon instantly made me feel at ease and Sam just added to that welcoming feeling. She was friendly, approachable and made me feel great before, during and after the session. I loved my time there and look forward to many visits back!

The entire staff was very professional. I booked appointments for myself and my wedding party; I had gone in the day before for a pedicure with my sister and each staff member came up, introduced themselves to us and let us know that they would be doing our (hair, makeup, etc). I really liked this. They were also very accommodating, when I asked last minute if they could get my mom in for a hair do, without hesitation they told me yes, even though they were completely booked, they were very flexible. I highly recommend them. Wish I lived closer and trust me I would be getting my hair and nails done here all the time! There prices are very reasonable as well, which of course is a big plus!

I needed a hair cut (desperately) and decided to try and find somewhere close to my work. AnisElla’s was the one salon that kept popping up with great reviews so I called to make an appointment. I spoke with Gloria to schedule my appointment, told her what time I wanted to come in and I was scheduled. She was real friendly over the phone so I was excited to check out the salon!
As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Gloria and a gentleman. Then, Sandy came over and introduced herself as my hair stylist, sat me down and asked what I wanted. I told her what I wanted and we worked off of my original idea, she gave me some of her ideas and then she went to work! One huge thing about me, that I’m really anal about is my side bangs, which I explained to Sandy. She kept asking to see the photograph I brought in to make sure it looked similar to what I wanted. She also asked me where my part was and asked me how I wear my hair because she didn’t want to assume where my part was. Anyone with side bangs totally understands where I’m coming from because I’ve been to several hair stylists where they just assume where my part is and go from there, I end up leaving unhappy. I totally left feeling great after my haircut with Sandy.
I paid $ 45 which is totally reasonable and I can’t argue because it’s really close to my work and home, so totally convenient. Overall, I had an excellent experience. They gave me a 20% coupon to go back, so I’ll definitely be back to see Sandy again. Great experience!

This is truly a great salon! Here’s my experience. I had gone in to See if these ladies could fix my hair after Folawns fried it. I took in a picture of what I was going for and they not only fixed my hair, they did exactly what I wanted! I went from brunette with heavy highlights to blond over two days with Sandy. She added color on my first visit and was shocked at how much damage my hair actually had from Folawns. She decided to do a deep condition (at a reduced price) to help prevent breakage. Then sent me home with a comb from the salon and instructions on how treat my hair overnight and the next day. I went back in after work the next day for a free deep condition, free additional highlights, free trim and style. All to fix what Folwans messed up. Sandy is awesome! I will definitely go back to her and you should too! They also give USAA employee discounts, and referral discounts!

The salon is great. Gloria does an amazing job with color and cut! She always makes you feel welcome. The salon gives you the opportunity to get everything done in one place (hair, nails, massage, facial, etc!). Also they have great hours, so it makes it easy to schedule an appointment and go when it works for your schedule. I highly recommend it!!!
