Amore Cafe

I’ve only been here twice, but both experiences were very pleasant. The first time was later in the night and there was a good ambiance with music. The second time was early in the evening right when they open, a very quiet time, but relaxing nonetheless. The first time I went there, I had a hookah with Turkish coffee, and it was the absolute BEST Turkish coffee I’ve ever had. I complimented the owner (his name is Saeb, I hope I’m spelling that right). He sat down at our table and explained his methodical process of making his Turkish coffee. He’s clearly a man that takes pride in his work. The second time I went, I had dinner and a hookah. They’re very attentive to the hookahs and they last forever. The food was decent, and the prices are reasonable. I got another pot of Turkish coffee, which was just as good as the first, with a side of cookies. I plan on returning.

Very very good food! U can tell the falafel was freshly made and the gyro meat was shaved perfectly and deliciously seasoned. Staff was personable and completely obliging. Really glad we came. We will be back!

Perfect location which is convenient as I travel between la cantera and stone oak often.
The chicken shawarma here I would say is the best in San Antonio! The garlic sauce they use is a special recipe from generations of a famous Lebanese chef.
There is a server there Amir Wadi. He’s awesome every-​time you go they and he especially treat you like family.

Sunday night is peaceful! Hangin out with friends. Amazing hookah and best middle eastern food! Best place to chill and have some peace… ALSO! If yall are bored. u can ask em for a pack of cards and just go at it for hours!!!

The food is as fresh as it can possibly be and the atmosphere is great to just sit and enjoy the hookah that will last way longer than the entire night and the occasional belly dancer gives it a entertaining and fun mood. The chicken salad isnt on the menu but if you ask for it they will make it, its the best salad EVER!

Loved the atmosphere. The French fries with the toum (garlic sauce) are amazing. Loved that you can have a alcoholic beverage with your sheesha. The waitress was so sweet and attentive.

Very good place. Hookah very good. Very friendly people. The food is good too. I ordered the chicken tawook it was very good came with fries and hummos. The chicken shawerma is good too. They give you bread and pickle with it.

I lived in London for 5 years where I experienced some of the best hookah and ambiance cafes for snacks. As well as experienced nice bars in Turkey/​Istanbul. This café is very authentic and reminds me of those fast but fun cafes in Europe! The hookah quality was very nice and the fries were delicious. I recommend coming here for a nice laid back night enjoying friends and conversation, typical to hookah style!

The service is terrible, the waitress sits around on her phone for most the night, she tipped herself and the hookah as really bad.

My girlfriend and I love this place more every time we go. The server is awesome and hilarious but she’s usually by herself so you do have to flag her down sometimes. The hookah is good and the coals are well tended. What really makes me choose Amore over other hookah joints is the food. Their chicken tawook has an excellent grilled flavor that sets it apart from other restaurants with similar dishes. For a special treat, go on a Friday night for the amazing belly dancers and order one of the special pineapple hookahs!

Came in for shisha and the hummus. The hummus was actually very good, and made in house. Their menu has a good spread, and the house specialty is the chicken shawarma, I’m told. The shisha smoked well, and they were on top of the replacement coals. Service was friendly and fast, prices as expected. Will be back when I’m in town again.

Amore café is such a beautiful n classy restaurant… I love the chicken Shawarma! I go there once a week! Best shawarma hands down!

It really sucked, service could not get our Oder right, even after the 5^th time, the tea was like hot water. Belly dancing? Nop, I have no idea if they even know what’s belly dancing is. Got a new waitress to take our Oder and he was extremely rude. Over all never going back!

If you are looking for a place to relax and smoke hookah. This is the place. The hookah is a very good quality. It is actually a little cheaper than most places too! I love Amore café!

I never write reviews, but I’m compelled to write a raving review for this place. If I can describe my experience in one word: attentive. I’m a hookah smoker. I frequent another popular hookah lounge here in San Antonio, but the service flat out sucks. I decided to check this place out, and damn, I’m impressed. I came here for the first time two days ago because it is close to my home, and I’m here again because it’s so freaking awesome. The manager, Saeb, and his staff are such wonderful people. The hookah flavors are excellent, the décor is gorgeous and the enviroment is so chill. Perfect for relaxing and getting some work done. Plus, they sell alcohol! A San Antonio hookah lounge that sells beer and wine? Count me in. If you need a place to socialize with friends, watch a game (they gladly changed the channel for me), or study/​work, Amore is the place to be. Thumbs up, you guys!

This place is awesome, I’ve been to a few hookah places and so far this is my favorite. The service is amazing, the staff is a ton of fun! The atmosphere is very comfortable, they have seating spaces for a good sized group of people or just a few. They have pretty good food, and the music is a good volume that it’s not bother some. It’s a great place to sit and chat or to come alone and do some home work in a warm atmosphere.
They have pretty awesome fruit bowls, The pineapple is the best in my opinion! Especially with blue mist shish.
They do get busy on Friday nights and Saturdays tho! But they are constantly walking around with fresh coals and asking if everything is okay. Much like anyplace when supper busy things are a little tiny bit slow but not bad at all. They even have belly dancers some times that come in on Fridays or Saturdays around 10 or 1030, I didn’t see any one the Saturday I came but they where there the Friday night I came. But try to get there early to grab a spot if your with a large group of like 5+ since it fills up fast!
Wade, James, Sharina, are amazing! And manger Jad is awesome and is very bilingual.
