History

Established in 2007.

Advanced Orthopedic Designs was founded in 2007 by Kevin Matthews. Originally, the staff consisted of Kevin, his daughter Sarah, and his nephew Alexander. Since then, the company has grown considerably. The original office on Judson acquired an adjacent suite in 2009 that considerably increased the size of this location. In late 2010, a second location was opened at the intersection of Westover HIlls and Culebra road.

Advanced Orthopedic Designs presently employs 16 people and continues to operate 2 locations on the Northeast and Northwest sides of San Antonio.

Business Owner

Kevin Matthews started out his career as an orthotist in the US Army. When the army eliminated the 42C Orthotic Specialist position, Kevin began his work in civilian facilities. He would work in 12 different facilities before finally opening his own practice in 2007.
