Wow. The best tasting frozen Yogurt I’ve had in years! I had a long day at work and stopped in to get something cold during last week’s HEAT WAVE. I got the chocolate and vanilla and added chocolate sprinkles (yes, my name is Kevin and I am a chocoholic). Fresh, cold, and super delicious! I didn’t feel full afterwards. Owner orders the best yogurt. They have nice tables too so I sat outside and people watched! «I’ll be back»…

Yummy! Just went there for the first time. The place is very clean and organized. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The yogurt seemed less expensive than what I pay at other stores. Easy to park. Will be back.

As good as any other fro-​yo place. The employees are nice and the store is always clean. They have fresh fruit which is always a plus. I wish they had smaller cups. So hard to portion control with the big cups.

I walked in at 7:45 and the guy (who looks homeless) says he shut all the machines off except vanilla and chocolate… and what kind of dessert shop closes at 8? Also, it’s horridly expensive, and not that good. Go to swirl at red hill instead.

Great frozen yogurt. The tart flavor is always good and usually there are some sorbet alternatives like watermelon or mango. had a sweet coconut flavor today that was awesome! and there are plenty of toppings to go around too.

I stopped by here on the way home from work today as was craving a little something special. I always just get a little bit, small or large size container makes no difference to me, so that wasn’t an issue for me like some others, although there were a couple of different sizes. The yogurt was delicious (the tart and the chocolate mint, both I liked a lot) and had a chance to taste a couple first before I decided. Talked for a while to the new owner, Susie and she was very warm and helpful, couldn’t be nicer. I hope they do well with the new ownership. I’ll be back.

The yogurt is OK I guess — nothing special. The price is VERY SPECIAL — as in too much. Granted, it’s all about self-​regulating how much you serve, but they do not encourage restraint as they only have large cups. Granted, I admit it was partly our fault, but the price /​oz is MUCH higher than other places.
You have been warned.

Love this place. Great yogurt, nice choice of flavors and toppings, friendly service, and it’s cleaner than most of the yogurt places in the area.

A full 10 cents more per ounce than Swirl AND they don’t have small cups — there are two sizes: large and extremely large. With three kids it’s near impossible to control what they put in/​grab — that’s why the small cups help. Anyway — $ 26 today for three kids and myself — won’t be going back here!

What a perfect place to stop for a treat. The selection of frozen yogurt flavors is impressive and tasty, and even more so for the toppings. I had coconut fro-​yo with fresh sliced strawberries and chopped toasted almonds. So yummy! My son chose French vanilla topped with pieces of Reese’s peanut butter cups & Butterfinger bar.
The proprietor is friendly and helpful, and there’s lots of seating indoors and out. I’ll be back soon.

Cute shop, well kept, airy and delightful. Unique, vast assortments of dry toppings and fresh cut fruits. Perfect stop for an afternoon outing in San Anselmo!

Mom ate her vanilla and mango combo with fruit in the store. There’s plenty of seating, and some super adorable kids, including twins, were tasting the flavors. aaaw.
I drove my vanilla and pistachio combo home and stuck it in the freezer until I was watching a movie later on and wanted to finish my snack. Everything was still delicious a few hours later, although the blackberries were SO cold… Yum!

I’m a huge fan of froyo.
Especially self-​served spots because you can customize your frozen treat to your likings!
I tried the raspberry cheesecake (which I’ve never had or found anywhere else) & it was satisfying!
The topping choices are plentiful. However, I was taken back by the unkempt array of toppings. There were a few that just seemed stale & old. I topped my raspberry frozen yogurt with cheesecake bites & that was just a bad idea. I guess I was expecting the cheesecake to be a bit dense & cold. The scoopful I got was mushy & warm. The Reese’s peanut butter container was empty & was not cleaned out, just smudged peanut butter that did not look appetizing.
This place is ok for a quick fix & perhaps skip out on the toppings. But for sure not my #1 choice for some frozen yogurt.

Hands down the best toppings in Marin. I just wish they had more yogurt choices. Sorta the opposite problem I have with the yogurt place at the mall, lots of yogurt but no toppings. This place has every topping I can think of, warm marshmallow, bacon bits, rock candy, thin mint and so much more. Definitely get my fair share of free yogurt too with my punch card. I also wish they kept dulce de leche all the time!

This trend has got to stop. Remember going into a self-​serve froyo joint and being able to choose between cup sizes of small, medium, and large? Well, the proprietors all wised up and now many offer only 1 cup size: GIANT. It takes a person far more disciplined than me to fill a giant cup with an appropriate serving size of froyo. This explains how 2 froyos here wound up costing upwards of $ 15. That was not a typo.
A return visit the next day had me dollar cost averaging my froyo investment at U-​Top It. On this day 3 cups came out to $ 18 which was just a little less nuts. Then, today, my visiting 84-​year old mom wanted froyo again and when you’re 84 your kids are legally obligated to get you whatever you f**king desire. How much did that cup come in at? More than $ 8.
The place has no signage to tell you the prices so I finally was that person (if you have to ask…) and was told it was 57 cents per ounce and that many people just kiss their froyo goodbye, as it sits forlornly on the scale, once they learn the damage. Someone else said they also charge you for the cup you put it in and though I didn’t inquire I don’t doubt it. I think they might also throw in some fees for lights, chairs, and rent.
The froyo can be very sweet and good (dulce de leche, thin mint) or very odd textured (plain tart). They have a boatload of self-​serve toppings and they finally got rid of that big-​brother policy of not letting customers fill their own sample cups.
If you’ve got dough to blow and are in the area this isn’t a bad stop. If you’re capable of filling a giant cup with a reasonable size serving this might also work for you. I had dough to blow the last three days but I blew it all here and it’s obvious I have no clue how to moderate serving size. Still, I’ll probably be back for my $ 8 froyo the next sunny day that strikes.

If you’re so picky about your damn yogurt, make your own. And if you’re spending more than $ 5 on yours, maybe you should reevaluate your eating habits.
The tart is delicious. They have a HUGE assortment of toppings. There is always someone greeting me when I walk in to offer samples. Love this place.

After a satisfying lunch with old friends at the awesome Sol Food, we decided to grab some froyo dessert at the brand new U-​top It in San Anselmo. I remember some pretty fun times with friends over froyo and we were eager to give this new joint a try. When we arrived, we found it completely overrun with little kids and their moms topping off their cups and ringing up huge bills. That said, the price is not listed anywhere and not until you reach the counter do you find out how much you’re really being taken for.
Before I get to that though, it all started with a sample. We weren’t offered sample cups to try flavors ourselves and instead were fetched flavors by the doorman. A nice touch (I think?) but it would have been much easier just to go get myself a sample. Of the 8 flavors, only 3 appealed to me: carrot cake, dolce la leche, and cable car chocolate. The carrot cake and chocolate were alright (if not a little icy) but the dolce la leche was so saccharin-​y sweet that it was difficult to eat. The toppings were abundant and certainly did nothing to lower the calorie count of the otherwise [mostly] fat free flavors. By the time I reached the register and weighed my yogurt, it came out to a whopping 9.8 ounces, half full in the 16 ounce cup. Well, that’s when I found out that that it was $ 0.49 per ounce (it’s not listed anywhere)! With tax, it came out to $ 5, which is kind of ridiculous when you consider that it’s only $ 0.15-$ 0.39 in many of the places I’m used to. What’s more, they charge for the cup as well which certainly doesn’t help.
I might be making a mountain out of a molehill here and the main clientele probably isn’t half as price sensitive, but this is definitely the most expensive yogurt place I’ve ever been to. That said, the area isn’t cheap either, but it’s pretty clear that they’re making a killing. They just put some tables outside so people can finally enjoy their snacks with their pets (instead of tying them up), which is a nice touch. However, make no mistake, this is not a cheap treat and during busy hours the place is totally cramped and chaotic, and enjoying the froyo there is impossible. Truth be told, I wasn’t that impressed.
