We engaged Vic to replace our upstairs hardwood floors. We had ¾ hickory overlaid on our existing hardwood floors(using glue and nails). It totaled about 1200 sq feet. Vic dealt with multiple changes prior to starting. The project took about 4 weeks to complete. It not only included the floor, but refinishing the stairs to match the floor, and dealing with all kinds of trim and molding issues. Vic’s was not on-site everyday, however his crew was excellent. We lived in the house during the bulk of the work, and they were professional and responsive to our concerns and changes to the design and work. Vic also offers custom heat registers that matched the floor, these really are excellent. The floors have turned out fantastic, we regularly get compliments on the floor. Vic came in on bid, and overall it was a good experience.

Vic, the owner pushes his criminal adult sons to work in the homes. They recently took some game consoles from a home they were working in and got caught on camera at a pawn shop with the goods(red handed). These young men have no boundaries and will look through your closets and drawers, and help themselves to what they want. If you live through that experience, Vic has a very bad temper and yells at workers and customers. So if you are looking for a miserable experience, be sure to give Vic a call.

Summary: They have provided low quality work, lower quality rework, unable to keep timelines, unresponsive phone calls and emails, would leave the house to make appointments with potential clients instead of working to resolve issues, damage to house, stain on the walls, broken furniture and an inoperable appliance. We need to find another flooring contractor to come in and completely redo their work. Timeline: Worked started as schedule on 9⁄16 and was promised to be complete by 9⁄28 and then by 9⁄30 all baseboards back on, appliances back in place and equipment removed. Actual timeline: Work started on 9⁄16 and 10⁄15 Elite moved out. 10⁄17: Walked thru 123 quality issues throughout the job with Vic and his only remedy was to put an other top coat on. An other top coat does not resolve: o Remedy gaps in boards and swirl marks in the wood o Fix damage to walls and baseboards o Remove stain from doors, door hardware and frames o Replace broken table Pictures of the work and issues are at:

Getting your hardwood floors refinished is an arduous ordeal no matter how good it goes. We hired Vic to do our floors because he came in with a bid that undercut our other bid by 30%. The job was pretty much done by a man named David who has been refinishing hardwood floors for over 2 decades, and he really knows his stuff. He also is very pleasant to deal with and unbelievably patient. My wife is a retired interior designer and is, subsequently, very fussy about anything done in our house. David bore with us in choosing the proper stain color for the floors, and he was meticulous with all the processes necessary to complete the job. He needed to replace some old wood, and he called us constantly to keep us updated and to make sure we understood our options before completing any aspect of the job. In the end, the floors looked beautiful, and Vic came out to finish odd jobs after David was done for no extra charge. Vic is very straightforward and seems to honor his agreements. I would highly recommend this company,

I was hired to assist a family with various tasks, one of them being to manage the refinishing of their swedish hardwood flooring throughout their estate. After obtaining several bids, I chose Elite Hardwood Floors because Vic Pasielko had given me the impression that he had years of experience and that he would be doing to work along with a couple of his assistants. As soon as he had a signed contract and a check, everything went haywire. He hired two guys to come out and do the work. Neither one spoke english and Vic made only one appearance after the work started, for about 5 minutes. We had a strict deadline to meet as the family living in the home would be gone for vacation and needed the work to be completed and ready for use by the time they returned. Vic assured me that this deadline was not a problem at all. After the second day, while walking around the outside of the house to look in the windows and see how the floors were looking, I broke my leg and had to have surgery. Since the estate had numerous stairs and hills, I was rendered incapacitated and could not go down to the house to review the work or to check the status. I spoke with Vic on the phone numerous times to ensure the work was going as planned and that everything would be ready for the homeowners when they returned. Vic assured me everything was going great and that the floors looked terrific. Well, as time went on, I could see that the workers weren’t anywhere near being completed and was getting extremely concerned about completion date and how the floors looked. I had expressed my concerns numerous times with Vic over the phone, usually ending with him yelling at me or hanging up on me. The deadline was approaching and I made it down to the house to review the work and it looked HORRIBLE. You could see«waves» in the floor and the stain they used wasn’t at all what was asked for. Another conversation with Vic on the telephone ended with him yelling at me and telling me that I had no right to question his expertise. I expressed to him that I was extremely concerned about them meeting the deadline and Vic assured me over and over that the deadline would be met. Well, the owners came home and had to go stay in a hotel for a week because the flooring was nowhere near being done. Of course, this cost me my job. Vic Pasielko seemed like he would be great to work with until he got the contract and the check. From that point, he was completely rude and unprofessional. I trusted him and he flat out LIED to me about everything. Working with Elite Hardwood Floors was a complete disappointment and it cost me my job.

I chose Elite Hardwood Floors to install, sand and finish Santos Mahogany hardwood flooring in my home. Vic, the owner, gave me a firm price for the whole job, only to demand payment before the job was completed and then try and extort additional money from me for sanding and finishing the floor that they’d already installed. When I refused, the owner tried to intimidate me into paying by threatening a lawsuit. I spoke with numerous other flooring companies and not one of them had ever given an estimate for only the installation of the flooring and separated out the costs for sanding and finishing. All of them agreed that the Vic and Elite’s business practices were suspect and unethical. Although I still believed it to be unfair, I paid them an agreed upon amount simply to end the issue, knowing full well I would have to hire someone else to come in and finish the work. I explained the situation to the installer, David, who agreed with me about Vic’s behavior. David then said that he would do the job for me at the same price that Vic had already quoted me as long as I paid him in cash and kept it quiet, so I wouldn’t be paying any more than I already had planned for. I thought that was a very upstanding thing to do, and told him that I would call him soon to set a date for the remaining work. Three emails and several phone calls later, I realized that David was not going to keep to our verbal agreement. I started looking for someone else to finish the job and had just hired another company when David emailed me out of the blue — by mistake. He thought he was emailing someone else. I explained his mistake and he asked me if I still needed the floor finished. No apologies for never getting back to me. When I said yes, he said he would come out and finish it… but at $ 300 over what he originally quoted me, which was only $ 100 less than what I was paying the other company. Given that David was completely unreliable and unethical, we decided to stick to our principles and stay with the other company(who did a fantastic job, by the way). I never responded to David’s initial emails — not wanting to engage in conflict and wanting him to get a taste of his own medicine. He emailed me at least once a day for a couple of weeks, finally saying that he was just going to show up at my front door the next day if I didn’t respond. I wrote him back and told him exactly why I didn’t want to work with him. I then got a vitriolic reply from him with abusive language. I thanked him for reminding me why I would never work with him again. I highly recommend that anyone looking to have new flooring installed stay far away from Vic Pasielko, David Lackey and Elite Hardwood Floors.
