Got honey from the farmers market featuring hummingbird ranch. We asked about the antihistamine properties attributed to wildflower honey. They agreed and then offered the lesser known proprietary «Hive Mix» honey. Amazing.

If you’re coming up to this area (Dutchess County Fairground, Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool, etc.) take a very short detour West of the Taconic on Salt Point Turnpike. Hummingbird Ranch has a little store selling fabulous varieties of honey from their many local hives. They also have beautiful handmade beeswax candles, honey balms and creams, and other local products. Rich will tell you all about his bees and hives. I’ve been buying his Hive Mix honey for a year; it’s great and fortified with bee propolis and royal jelly. Try it!
