We treat the complete age spectrum providing child, adolescent, adult and geriatric psychiatric care and substance abuse treatments.
History
Established in 1986.
UNI was originally established as the Western Institute for Neuropsychiatry (WIN). It was purchased by the University of Utah in 1994 through collaboration with the University’s School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. The Department of Psychiatry is now located on site and provides patients with expertise and advanced care not available elsewhere in the Intermountain West. Our doctors are actively engaged in teaching and research to deliver the latest advances in psychiatry. This unique team provides assessment, treatment and aftercare planning.
