Pro Nailz

My coworker comes here often just for the mere fact that it’s close to our workplace. She gets her nails done fairly regularly so I figured I’d give it a try. While it is a low price, I would absolutely pay more to have my nails done else where especially if it means I’m going to have to go to a different salon four days later. It wasn’t so much a matter of chipping but it was just such a bad manicure/​pedicure that it was a constant bother to look at my nails. Not only that, but the manicurist made it seem like my being there was a bother and didn’t seem to appreciate my business whatsoever. My manicurist was extremely rough with my cuticles, made me bleed at one point, did a terrible job of cleaning my nails, and to top it off I had pain in my great toe that lasted for the entire week after. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one dissatisfied with the service because I overheard two women beside me whispering amongst themselves that they wouldn’t come again either.

The wait time is usually 30 to 45 minutes. You will get one of about 15 different manicurists. Salon was very noisy with Asian chatter and not at all relaxing on both of my visits. The first visit passed, but the second visit did not. It seems a pedicure was not their specialty. I received a 20 minute leg massage (she wore her latex gloves) and nearly massaged my skin off, strangling my legs. My shins and legs felt bruised and we’re painful for a week. Also, polish chipped off of shellac nails the next day. My pedicure was a wreak as she sent me home with wet toenails that I had to redo at home.

Came here for the first time with a friend and was immediately seated. Although there were multiple empty spots where we could have sat side by side, we were told that we could not sit together which was irritating because this was our girls night out together. The woman who did my nails seemed really nice but I couldn’t understand a lot of what she was saying because of her accent. Usually that isn’t a big deal to me but I’ve never had my nails done before and I didn’t really know what I wanted/​how things worked. And she kept talking to the other women in the salon in another language (I have heard this is common in nail salons?) But it made me a little uncomfortable because I could never tell if she was talking to me or someone else. Also, there is a point where they tell you to go wash your hands. There is a sign saying to use both soap, and these weird brushes in this blue liquid they had there. I had no idea what order to do this in or if it even applied to acrylic nails. I looked around for instructions and one of the staff just told me «use both» so I put them both on at once. It also just occurred to me that everyone uses the same brushes and puts it back in the same water stuff? Seems a little gross. The nails themselves looked okay, I don’t know anything about acrylic nails but they’re a lot better than the chewed up stubs I had before. I tipped her because she laughed at my amazement with the fancy acrylic powder stuff and she reminded me of my aunt but I won’t be going back.

I used to come here fairly regularly because it’s cheap and they’ve usually done a good job, but the past 3 or 4 times have made me decide to just put on my big girl pants and pay more money elsewhere. I normally just come in for a basic manicure. I’d say of half the times I’ve been recently, it has taken over an hour from the time I sit in my chair until the time I leave (and probably an additional 10 to 15 minutes for waiting time). I think they were just trying to be thorough, but I have no idea what took them so long; it’s just a basic manicure. What bugs me is that my nails still chip within a day or so, so the extra time didn’t improve the quality of the job. The other half of the time I’ve been there, they have me in the chair for about 10 minutes, and it’s clearly a rush job. They won’t even get all of the nail painted: there’s usually a thin strip of unpainted nail on a few of my fingers, and, again, my nails start chipping and are ugly within a few days.
Every single employee I’ve had has been extremely nice, and they’ve been pretty chatty once I start talking. The review isn’t for a bad experience overall, it’s just that the quality has gone down enough over the past few years that I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

There’s a lot of patience that goes into Pro Nailz. Because of its location and great reception, chances are you will wait a very long time to be seated. It’s constantly busy, churning out every design, color, and shape in the book. Nevertheless, there is plenty of talent to admire here. Every time I’ve come to Pro Nailz, I am happy!
Today was a little off course since I decided to get long acrylics. I was assigned to Cindy (#8) and she was fantastic to work with. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she excitedly said, «Yes! Let’s do it!» She took her time framing, filing, and gluing the nail. Such precision was refreshing because the nails came out amazing! In all, I would recommend going here if you’re close and want the Proz to take care of you.
The wait may be long, but time after time, they prove why that is!

I love this place! Great deal for pedicure and they spend a solid 45 min to an hour on your toes, with an electric chair massage!

This is such a great place. And love the prices too! Wanted a mani+pedi and they were able to do them at the same time.

I used to like this place for pedicures, but they are so rude. The price is good and it is relatively clean, but I really can’t stand the service. Maybe they don’t pay their workers well. Seriously, not a relaxing experience.

They’re fast and relatively friendly. Gel manicure is nicely priced and they do a good job. If you’ve got other appointments to get to and you don’t have the luxury of taking an hour plus to get your mani or pedi done, this is the place for you.

I used to love this place but it has gone down in stars since I last reviewed this place. I haven’t like the last THREE Shellac Mani’s I’ve gotten here. They have been VERY busy lately and work in a VERY rushed way. I have tried going on a Saturday morning which is understandable they are super busy but still shouldn’t be rushed in and out, I’ve also gone on a Thursday afternoon twice and they were moderately busy and STILL rushed my mani. The last Thursday I came in here and «Cindy» did my nails with NASCAR speed. And didn’t take the time to make sure the polish was covering the sides of my nails and also left my nails rough around the tips. So they were snagging on things left and right. I had to file and smooth them down myself. :-/​I’ve been going to this place for a couple of years, and used to praise how they took their time and have quality mani’s and pedi’s so they have had my loyalty, but after three rushed and bad mani’s I’m looking for a new nail shop that values quality over quantity.

I went in with a picture of acrylic nails that I wanted (it was blue nails with the ring finger blue and silver zebra print). They said it would cost $ 48 to get them done so I said I would do my nails blue with a silver ring finger with powder. She said she would do them with nail polish because she didn’t want to use the powder. After she agreed to do them with the powder she came over to me and said that it would only cost $ 30 for one color powder instead of $ 35 for the two colors. I agreed with the $ 30 one color full set. After she did my nails we went up to pay and she charged my card $ 35. I asked why it was $ 35 when she said it would be $ 30. She said she put a clear coat over it to make it shiny and that cost $ 5. I asked how much it would have been to get both colors and she said $ 35. So because she over charged me I did not give her a tip. When she saw that I was not giving a tip she tried to defend herself by saying that she did not want to do two colors, and that is why she told me that. She then became frustrated and started yelling for the manager because i wouldn’t tip. All in all, worst nail experience ever.

Awful and painful. I’ve been getting my nails done for roughly 15 years at various places and decided to give this place a try. Big mistake. They were not done in the shape I asked, the design was poor and looked like a 5 year old did it. But the worst part was the pain. While cutting the nails, the tech was careless and got my skin caught in the nail clipper and ended up cutting off a chunk of my skin. I screamed and pulled my hand away, while she proceeded to laugh, and laugh and continue to laugh. I was bleeding. She was laughing. Didn’t end there. She then cut me while shaping the acrylic on my nails and then made me bleed again when she separated my glued skin from the fake nail. Don’t waste your time, or your blood on this place. Most unprofessional salon I’ve ever been to. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

This is my go to nail salon they do amazing work and the girls here are great! I get my nails done once a week and I have come to realize that this place NEVER disappoints! It is typically very crowded so don’t be surprised if there’s a bit of a wait but in my experience it’s always worth it! Their NuSkin pedicure is my favorite and at only $ 30 you really can’t beat the price! Their shellac manicure last forever or if you love to change it up like I do they do polish changes for $ 5. I have nothing but nice things to say about this salon. I come all the way up from Park City just to get my nails done here.

Clean, friendly, inexpensive. If you’re looking for the lap of luxury, this is not it. But if you want a quality mani/​pedi at a good price with friendly service, then you’ll be happy. I went with my 8yo daughter and we had a great time and our nails look wonderful.

In their defense, I did arrive for a pedicure 1 hr before closing. That said, they accepted my business so I feel I should have received good service.
I was disappointed with my time and money spent here. I went in to have my shellac pedicure removed and a regular pedicure done. In my experience with shellac, you’re supposed to soak the polish and then work it off the nail. The woman that did my toes peeled the polish off dry. It was not only painful but she made my toenails all funky– brittle, bumpy…
To top it off, my new pedicure was probably the worst I’ve ever had.
It was just an overall bummer of an experience. I won’t go back and I don’t recommend.

You get what you pay for. $ 10 manicure with cheap nail polish that chips immediately. Manicurists that rush through your manicure to get to the next client. My manicurist didn’t even talk to me while the one beside her chatted with her client. I would honestly rather pay more money for a better manicure and nice manicurist who won’t rush through my manicure to get to the next client.

I think I’ve found my nail place! A few of my friends have recommended this place and I’ve honestly avoided it because the location really isn’t convenient for me however I can never get my gel paint from anywhere else to stay on so I decided to try it out. Everyone tells me it lasts a few weeks but mine generally only lasts 2 – 3 days. I’m going on 5 days now… probably not a record for most but it is for me! The service was quick, the place was clean, & the staff was friendly.

I needed a last minute location for pedicures — three of them for my daughters and I. I called ahead (but only 15 minutes) and was able to book appointments.
The salon is large and bright and clean, which is always important to me. There were a dozen women working and all three of us received great service.
If I lived in Utah I’d go back and my daughters, who do live in Utah, have already booked appointments for next month.

I rarely ever give a business a bad review without giving it a second chance. Look, I get that you price your services pretty cheap-​I am not expecting that I get a red carpet welcome. But I do expect that my nail polish will last at least for three whole days and that I don’t bleed while getting a manicure.
I probably got stuck with the wrong person judging by all the other great reviews. Either way, I am not going back.

I almost always frequent another nail salon but this one is by my house and a friend suggested we try it.
I got there before my friend and picked out the polish for my pedicure. They have some OPI but most seemed to be China Glaze and some other brand I’ve never seen. They knew I had someone coming to do a pedicure with me but they insisted that I sit and get started right away even though it wasn’t too busy. So essentially, by the time my friend came, I was already halfway done.
They are quick. Quicker than my usual salon which could be a good thing if you’re in a hurry. But that also means they sped through the best parts. Want a foot and leg scrub? Sorry, mine only lasted 30 seconds. No joke. Leg massage with lotion? Okay, maybe 2 minutes. Huh? Maybe it was just the lady I got and the others aren’t in such a rush. Plus, she was clipping my cuticles a little too fast and nicked me. I’m praying that I don’t get an infection. (That’s just me being paranoid)
I do like that there wasn’t a long wait to get in. And it’s nice that they’re open until 7:30. But there is one thing that will probably prevent me from going back. The tools. They weren’t in a sealed sanitary package, which you know, I guess is fine. Maybe I’m spoiled. But they were already sitting there when I came in. And maybe they were cleaned and new and just waiting. But the pumice stone was definitely not new. It was sitting in the same area, worn down. That means someone else’s dead skin was touching me. Yuck.
It probably doesn’t help that I’m a bit of a germaphobe with a touch of OCD. So if you don’t mind that kind of thing, by all means. They are fast and it’s only $ 20 for a pedicure which is a steal.
