In the end the alterations were done on time and expertly and my wedding dress was beautiful, but it was a frustrating process. I just needed my wedding dress hemmed and taken in a little on the bust. My first fitting was easy and she promised I could have a second fitting in a few weeks if I called a few days ahead to remind her. I did and she assured me it would be ready to try again in a few days, but when I came in for the appointment it wasn’t ready and she couldn’t even find it at first(cue internal freaking out that she lost it!). The next week it was ready to try again though, and after that it went smoothly. It was around $ 180 which included steaming so I think it was still a good value for wedding dress alterations despite the setbacks. 5 stars for quality of alterations and 3 stars for communication and organization = 4 stars.

Connie did a wonderful job and was so nice to work with! I found the perfect dress six weeks prior to my wedding; however, it was too big in the back, needed a bustle and also needed to be taken up two inches. I didn’t give her much time; however, she was able to deliver in my requested timeframe. The dress had a decent size train and had lots of embroidery at the bottom, which made the alterations very difficult, but Connie altered the dress perfectly! Her work exceeded my expectations and price was reasonable. Actually for all of the work that went into it, I’d say she probably undercharged me if anything. Definitely recommend if you want quality work for your special day.

I don’t think I’ll be back, at least until I get a thicker skin, and I don’t think that is something that can be tailored. I can’t fault them on the work. I went on recommendation and Connie was courteous and seemed knowledgeable with the task at hand. I had a ripped zipper on a dress, the kind down the side, and I needed it replaced. $ 20 seemed pretty fair to me and cheaper than I had heard elsewhere, so I left the dress and was told I could have it on the day I wanted it(about 10 days later). When I picked up the dress, I was happy with the work she did. The dress has ruching and she hid the zipper beautifully. What I didn’t like was the attitude. Chastising me both on drop off and pick up about ripping the zipper seemed overkill. Perhaps it was meant to be helpful, but asking if the dress was the right size and asking me if I had someone to help me hold the sides together to zip it up while other customers were waiting was a bit embarrassing. Her questions and comments were very unprofessional. Why and how the zipper broke weren’t the issue, I needed a cheap, damaged zipper replaced. The customer isn’t always right, but should always be respected, and I felt I wasn’t here.

I have been going to Perfect Fit for 8 years now and my mom goes too! I found Connie in high school initially to alter my school uniform. She’s done everything from my coats, dresses and now to my first interview suit! She’s prompt, fair and consistently does quality work. A good tailor is essential and I would recommend Connie to my best friend for her wedding dress.
