Paradise Palm

I have gone in to Paradise Palm multiple times and they are always very helpful with all my questions and concerns. They have a large variety of plants and bonsai. I highly recommend visiting this shop.

This place is amazing! It’s so nice to come here and breath the fresh air! This is seriously such a cute place. They have a lot of great house plants, a lot of them you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else! Some of them are kind of expensive, but I’m sure that they are about average.

I have been coming here for years. I absolutely love to come in and just breath in the fresh air. They have a ton of plants and knowledge on how to care for the plants. Also when my son was about 9 months old he accidentally ingested a leaf off one of my plants. I was so worried, I called Paradise Palm and asked if the plant was poisonous or dangerous to my son, they had all the info and told me where to find the info on the plant. Luckily it was not toxic and I learned more about all the plants in the house and there toxicity. I call them and send them pictures of plants that I see, but don’t know what they are, they always know and can order it in if I want it. They are Fabulous.

Unprofessional and unethical. We made an agreement with John to rent out his space for an art event six months in advance. He assured us that he could move plants around and has done many events in the past. He was very friendly in the beginning and we were very excited we could make an event happen in his space. We continued planning the event according to his venue layout and came in every week to check up on the place and gather dimensions and perspectives accordingly. We had to gather permits and inspections of the space for the one night we would hold there and it costed us a lot of money and time. We set a date of the event a month before. He started to get weary and asked for more money to hold the event. Because everything was already planned, we had to agree. He said he would send the contract over at the end of the week. After a week, no contract was sent and we contacted him and he said he would send it over again. When the day came close, we went to the store to talk to him and he started to sound unsure of us holding the event but never gave us a definite no. I think this is because he knew we worked so hard on planning the event and we had come in so early on and he complied with our plans in the beginning without hesitation. We thought he started to get the wrong impression of the event. He thought it was going to be something spectacular and ruin his plants but he never mentioned this before. Our event is small scale and is literally people walking around looking at art and listening to music. For him to not express any of his concerns until weeks before the event really shattered everything we planned. This is why working with John was problematic and this is why I feel so sad to have attempted any business relation with him. We contacted him everyday and still no definite yes or no. It led us on and we still had a shred of hope. Finally he stopped contacting us back and It became a mess for us to have to relocate. We postponed the event and had to get permits again and reconsider space ideas. In the end, we had the event at a place with a much more professional staff and human beings who are compassionate and worked in helping us achieve our plans rather than find ways of making it more difficult for us. Working with John was a mistake. He has no regard but his own interests even after knowing how much time and effort we put into our agreement. I want to express that working with John and what he did to us really hurt us emotionally and financially. He never apologized nor felt guilty. Our entire team hated him but I understand his concerns for his plants. He just never let us know to look elsewhere as if our efforts really didn’t matter. We came in so often and talked to him about his space almost every week. Our time and hopes were committed and it seems unimportant in a capitalist society but we are humans trying to build a better community and John had no regard for any of these attempts. Nor were his responses just. John is definitely not a bad person. He just has no ethical understanding of business relations. I hope he is exposed to his own behaviors via someone else one day so he realizes how detrimental his actions were. This is no place that cares about people. He should stick to watering his plants.

I love coming to Paradise Palm! I always leave happy. The space makes you feel like you’re in a dreamy plant heaven. They have a wide variety of plants and the best service. The guy there is so friendly and knowledgeable. He’s helped me buy most of my plants. I recently got a big cactus from them and had it delivered. They made it so easy and were very helpful. This is one of my favorite places in Salt Lake!

Service is great here. They have tons of stuff to choose from, prices are clearly indicated, and care instructions are provided with each plant. Plus it’s fun to pretend you’re traversing the jungle.

I am always enchanted by the array of diverse plants and succulents at Paradise Palm. I’ve purchased several plants including ferns, cacti, jade, air plants, and all of them continue to thrive. The plants are in very good condition and are hand selected by the owner for their health and unique attributes. The staff is very knowledgeable, incredibly friendly and happy to help with specific care instructions or any concerns you may have. It’s always fun to chat with them and geek out about gardening and plant care. My cat recently knocked down my large Bonsai Tree (also purchased from their store!) and the staff gave me all of the information I needed to know to save and replant the tree.
They really dedicate as much time to their customers as they do to their plants at Paradise Palm!

We have moved to a pre-​owned home back in 2012. The lawn was full of nothing but crabgrass and bald/​brown patches. Because we wanted to have a wonderful lawn, our only solution was to get new grass and contact a lawn care service. Despite the obstacles that came our way, we were able to have a lawn that is weed free and looks healthy and it is thanks to this company.
They have provided a high quality and professional lawn care service. Even a month after they first came, I have seen a noticeable difference already. I am really happy with their service. I intend to continue with their service for many more years to come.

I visited this place with my wife when she was looking for plants to decorate her office with. She was preparing for an open house they would be holding.
When you walk in Paradise Palm you feel like you are walking into the rain forest. Plants are everywhere and unique plants abound. You could easily become very overwhelmed, but the helpful owners and staff are there to guide you every step along the way.
My wife presented her unique climatic situations to the gentleman maning the store and he offered her many excellent selections from which to choose and while she was shopping and he was helping I began to wander my way through the lush jungle that is this store.
I found myself at the orchids. I have always loved them and they had the best selection of orchids I had ever seen. Then, to the right of the orchids was a selection of steeply discounted orchids that were no longer in bloom! I was hooked! While my wife shopped I began picking our my orchid garden and decided I was going to try my hand at orchids. I bought about ten plants! The gentleman helping my wife offered me some growth tips and I have managed to keep most of them alive and well. One has even bloomed for me! Success!!!
They do not only sell plants here, you can also find pots, soil and other plant supplies. If you are in the market for house plants and want more than the grocery store selection and twice the health, then this is the place for you! Check it out!
