The sandwich was pretty good but they refused to accept my coupon which was frustrating and when I tried to explain that it would be better for future business had they accepted my coupon, the cashier simply got annoyed and wasn’t very kind at all. I won’t ever be going back if they’re not going to treat their customers with respect and care

This is a pretty good lunch spot. The menu is pretty simple and self-explanatory. The eating area is also very clean. The food was pretty good quality and arrived fairly quickly. The only thing is that the extras end up being somewhat pricey. Definitely would return.

I went here today for my first time. Filled out the paper with how I wanted my sandwich, handed it to the cashier, he then put the paper on the rack so the sandwich makers could know how to make it. My paper went after the guy before me and before the guy after me. They called my name and I grabbed my sandwich and went back to work. When I opened my bag and took out my sandwich it was a hot turkey/bacon panini. I order a normal pastrami sandwich on white. Don’t even know how that can happen. My sandwich was just okay, same price crown burger across street is a better choice.

I’m so happy this place replaced the horrible Subway that was here before it. I had had a terrible experience at that subway that had made me reticent to try this new place even though it was different. I’m so glad I tried it today. Their turkey bacon ranch panini is really good! The gentleman that helped me was very nice and the place looked clean and orderly. I’ll be going back there again cause I spied them making a cold sandwich that looked delicious. My only reason for not giving it five stars is because I felt the pricing for a full meal, a sandwich, chips, and a drink was a tad steep for what you get, but I’m so happy it was tasty I almost don’t care about that.

LOVE this place! I went the first time and tried the Extreme Grilled Cheese. This is by far the BEST cheese sandwich I have ever had…2 kinds of cheese, tomatoes, sprouts, and the most amazing creamy pesto I have ever tasted! Then they grill it in a press. When you bite into the gooey cheese with the warm pesto and tomato it makes you wish you had ordered two! I have been back three times since… just for that sandwich. The only reason I didn’t give this pace a four is because I haven’t been able to try anything else on the menu because I am afraid it wouldn’t live up to that one awesome sandwich. I also wish when going through the drive through that they asked if you wanted a menu item or a build your own item because I always have to wave off the paper and pencil they try to hand me for they build your own stuff. I already know what I came for by the time I am there, and it’s perfect. I have no time for the other stuff. ;)

There’s simply no reason to come here. It’s a «here’s-your-ingredients» sandwich shop, where you fill out a card with meats, veggies, and bread for your sandwich. But here that’s horribly inefficient – the cashier has to ask about nearly every order. This time, I stood in line while a long to go order was being placed– the cashier had to ask questions about each card. And the food is not worth the hassle. An average sandwich, what look like premise soups at best. Prices are decent– probably average for this type of deli. But Gandolfos, Broadway, Robin’s nest nearby in downtown all provide better sandwiches in a much more efficient manner There’s at least free parking.

The food and service was great. Too bad they are closed on the weekend.

I really enjoyed the sandwich I got here! For $ 5.29 you can get a design-your-own sandwich, and mine was fresh and filling. The rye bread was incredible: so soft and squishy! I also appreciated the toppings choices, very fresh. I ordered lettuce, sprouts, onions, olives and cucumbers. They let me go half/half on the meat without charging. Overall, GREAT sandwich! They charge $ 2.49 to make it a combo with a drink and chips. I think that’s a bit too much. And I sure wish they had some salad choices. That would have made it perfect for me. I just wasn’t in a soup mood, and the only other choice I had was chips. I would have loved a nice homemade potato or pasta salad. Definitely will be back. So much better than Subway or some other chain.

Great home made tomato basil soup and stew. Fantastic deli sandwiches made to order with a variety of fresh-baked breads. And some of the best milk shakes you’ll find anywhere! If you like great food at a a great price, this is the place to go.

Went there for lunch on a Friday. Decent deli. Round mosaique tables in the bottom area. Has an upper loft with wooden tables. The bottom area seemed to contain more people… if you want additional privacy then venture upstairs… though this restaurant isn’t ideal for private conversation. Food was pretty good. Paid ~6 dollars for a grilled sandwich. Service was good. No complaints.

This is a basic, no frills sandwich shop, Pretty good for sandwich shops around this area(compared to Subway in the Gateway, Soup Kitchen, Café in the Salt Lake Hardware building) To order, you just mark your paper with the bread you want, meat, cheese, toppings, etc. I’ve never had an issue with the line being long with this process. I haven’t waited longer than a minute or so to place the order during lunch time and more than 4 – 5 minutes to actually get the sandwich, and that’s during the rush hour. The bread they serve the sandwiches on is soft and fresh. The meats and cheeses are always fresh as well. The veggies are crisp and ripe and they can make an otherwise plain sandwich really stand out. I’ve had the chicken and pesto panini which was pretty yummy, smaller than what I’ve had before, but pretty good. The only thing i wasn’t crazy about was that once you add extras to your sandwich, like chips, drink, pickle, etc. The price can get close to $ 10 which is on the pricier side for a sandwich with extras. I’ve been here about 3 times and plan on coming again. Great customer service, too. Really nice people.

I got the ultimate grilled cheese and the tomato basil soup. It was pretty good. Place seems to be clean as we’ll. I would come back again. They apparently have an extensive milk shake menu. So if that’s your thing I say go for the home run.

Let’s just get to the point– The Extreme Grilled Cheese Sandwich is literally one of the most delicious things I have put in my mouth that involves cheese. It has pesto, tomato, muenster and cheddar, squished deliciously in between some no name bread and melted to gooey amazingness in a panini press. It is paired with a chunky, acidic, tomato-basil soup that makes this food marriage work. Let’s get to the problems– The ordering is a joke. There is no need for clientele to write their own tickets for the cooks to make your food. If the hired help had half a brain(which I’m sure none did), the line could move much faster than the velocity of a slug. They need to redesign the ordering system– plain and simple. The business location couldn’t be better– West High School and The Triad Center is a quick 3 minute walk. Improve efficiency= improve your bottom line. READ: $$ PS. When I ask for silverware to go, I mostly meant a SPOON which is REQUIRED for soup, but thanks for the napkin and crackers. Luckily the soup was so good I could have poured it on my desk and licked it up. I may not return unless I get that child-like hankering for tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich, so hopefully for North Temple Deli, you heed my review, and make some significant changes.
