25 Years in business at this location on 39 West 900 South, SLC, UT. We started business in 1989 as a muffler franchise that specialized in Exhaust, Brakes and Alignment. In 2009, the franchise name was dropped and started as Mike Palmer Automotive. Mike’s first auto related job was employment with a company called Mr. Brake. In 1979 Midas hired him to train and equip 4 of their locations from Orem to Salt Lake City to perform brake service which was a newly offered service for Midas. After completing 2 years at BYU, and working at a coal mine in Carbon County, then in the oil field in West Texas, Mike and Julie built and completed the current location on 900 South in Salt Lake in 1989. They have been married 30 years, and are the parents of 4 boys & 1 girl. Mike has served as Scoutmaster. He and his boys are all Eagle Scouts.
