I’m going to be honest and say that I came to Legacy because I wanted to find an office that would treat me as painlessly as possible. I’m not just talking physically painless but emotionally painless as well. I have had some serious Little Shop of Horrors experiences at dental offices in my youth.
So I decided I wanted to look into nitrous oxide. Pretty much every dental office provides it but Legacy is one of the few that provides it to their patients with no added charge or fee. Also, scheduling with them was a breeze and when I actually came in everyone was so friendly and nice that I felt a little suspicious.
And even though, in the end, I had to come back to get work done, they did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and heard. The dental assistants were so accomodating and mindful of my coccyx injury as well as how I’m a little difficult to numb. They also have tv screens in the ceiling set up with an Apple TV and special headphones with easy volume adjustors so you could tune out everything but Adele Dazeems’ beautiful rendition on letting it all go or whatever else you’d want to watch. There were tons of choices.
Also, the office staff was so patient while my husband and I peppered them with insurance questions for a solid 10 minutes. (Listen, we are Jon Snow. We know nothing.) They did it all with a smile and some really awesome illustrations and virtual examples on an ipad. It was really informative!
In the end, it was better than I hoped and I can only credit the team at Legacy. It also means I’ll actually show up to my next cleaning in 6 months so cheers to that!

I think I’d have to put this as the overall best dentistry practice I’ve been to, with the possible exception of a place on Redwood towards the I-​215 interchange where I had wisdom teeth removed about 15 years ago and which I now do not recall the name of which. That particular one was oral surgery only, though and not dentistry while I believe Legacy does both.
There is much to like about this place. Dr. Jon Campbell is probably the best dentist I’ve been to, though I might give a slight edge on the oral surgery to the other dude, but again, 15 years removed, it might be a rose-​colored memory, if an oral surgical visit can ever fall into that category. Their billing department, according to my wife (I’ve never broken up payments with them), is the easiest to use of anyone’s and the staff is always pleasant to deal with. Also, their waiting room, while no great shakes, is not somewhere you spend much time, which is also good and if you need them for emergencies services, as I did a number of years back (that time was with Dr. Galen Campbell, who has since passed, I believe), even after hours, they’re very good with getting you in and getting you out of pain. Costs seem to be overall very reasonable comparatively. They go to great pains to make sure the patient is as comfortable as possible and provide an unbelievable array of options both to that end and in the actual care and procedures. They also do not seem to try to up-​sell anything. You go in, tell them either what you want or what’s wrong and they present you a menu of how to fix it.
They are not perfect, though. If it’s not Dr. Jon on the proceedings, it seems like things are a little less fluid and a bit less careful. It may just amount to practice, as none of the staff seems malicious to any degree and all seem to be trying to help, but perhaps their busyness is causing an element of rushing. It can be a bit off-​putting, however. Their notification system has some kinks to work out as well. Can’t imagine why I would need 4 texts and a voicemail about an appointment over the course of 2 days, even after I’d confirmed the appointment. Still, those are minor nuisances when everyone is trying so hard, though, again, other than Dr. Jon, there can be a degree of reluctance about explaining things, no rudeness, but it can seem a bit grudgingly.
Still, all in all, I don’t believe I will ever be looking elsewhere for another practice.

I’ve been going to Legacy Dental for years and have always, always had a more than satisfactory experience. I’ve referred many family members and friends and all have felt the same way. They are gentle and understanding about my anxiety around going to the dentist, they’re endlessly patient and are willing to work with me, rather than expecting me to adapt to them. I can’t say enough good things about this practice. I continue to drive out to their location even though I now live downtown. If you’re looking for a dentist, I highly recommend this office.

Went in for a annual cleaning & check up after many years of not visiting a dentist and had a great experience. The next visit for an extra cleaning and cavity fill was also a very good experience. They kept me comfortable the whole time, decided that they only had to do a partial cleaning which saved me $$. Really appreciated the honesty. The office is very clean and the staff was very friendly.
