History

Established in 1934.

The current site of Evans & Early Mortuary was originally known as the «Salisbury House». It was built for Orange J. Salisbury. In 1927, Orange J. Salisbury Jr. changed the home from being a residential home to a reception center and a boarding house.

In 1934, Mr. Early purchased the «Manor House» and established Evans & Early Mortuary. Due to their special needs, an additional chapel was added in 1937 on the left side of the original structure.

From 1937 to 1972 the existing Evans & Early Mortuary went almost unaltered. In 1972, due to an increasing need, another chapel, viewing room, ramp, and service area was constructed on the right side.
