Electric Drain & Sewer Rooter Inc

I recently had a sewer problem at my home and after two different plumbing companies told me the roots in my line were to thick to resolve and replacement was my only option. I luckily called Electric Drain. From the first conversation until the issue was resolved, the team at Electric Drain were incredible. My two other plumbing companies told me i needed to replace the sewer line from the city connection to the house. Holy crap that is expensive! Electric Drain not only cleaned and removed the roots, they also dug out the «clean out» drain in my yard. They were the only company that even mentioned the outside clean out drain. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

As a first-​time home owner and someone who is learning the ropes, when my hot water stopped working this morning I freaked out a bit. I went downstairs and noticed an Electric Rooter sticker on my hot water tank (I remembered after the fact we used them to snake our pipes before we moved in!). I called and whoever I spoke to on the phone was kind and helpful, but I wasn’t sure if I was doing things correctly so he said he would swing by. Cody and CJ to the rescue! They came down, re-​lit the pilot light (because of course it would be something simple), and charged me nothing. Super friendly, went out of their way to help me, and charged nothing. We will use them for any future problems we may have. Highly recommend.

I am a contractor and have used them a few times over the years. I have a friend who had a sewer backup at her house, she called someone else, they snaked the main and ran a camera down it. The sewer line had shifted (broke) where the sewer left the house. This company wanted to bring in a backhoe, rip up some sidewalk and the yard to fix it, estimated the fix to be 1600 bucks. She declined the repair. It worked for a few days and backed up again. She called me because she couldn’t afford the fix and didn’t want her yard ripped up. I called these guys and had them root it again, he ran a camera down it (no charge) and was able to pinpoint where the break was. The break was only 3 feet down or so, I had my friend dig it up and I repaired it for her. Total cost for the repair was less than 50 bucks for parts and 100 for my labor. That was 10 years ago and she hasn’t had a problem since. I just like these guys because they show up when they say they will and they ran the camera for free because they felt bad the other company over charged her (and tried to scam her in my opinion). Anyway, I have used them several times since and feel like they are fair. Not the cheapest but I feel like they are honest.

I had a clogged sink so asked them to clear it. They did a great job of clearing the drain, but when I went downstairs I see that they undid the plug on the main pipe and just let all the black gunk from the drain spray all over the basement onto a cabinet, my dryer, and ruined a good chunk of carpet. I took out a 4 ½ foot by 8 foot section I need to replace. Then to top it off, they replaced the cabinet where it was ON TOP OF THE GUNKY CARPET!
I texted Cody to ask if it is typical for them to leave the pipe open as they push out all the black gunk onto walls, cabinets, carpet etc. I got no response.
(sigh)…Are there no honest business people anymore?

Cody and CJ were fantastic! If you want a plumber that is highly skilled, fair priced, and considerate of your time, call Electric Rooter. I couldn’t be more impressed with the job they did! They repaired a basement slab leak in my home that required jack-​hammering a large area, replacing a large section of pipes, snaking 80 feet of line, and then pouring new concrete on the area. What other plumbers said would take 3 days to do, they did in six hours. I’m very happy I used this company!

Good customer service and fast work and get the job done but pricey.
For a 30 second plumbing job, they charged me over 120 $. WOW!

Great, honest service. A a realtor, I have used Electric drain for many sewer line inspections and clean outs. Always honest about their findings and recommendations.

I had a flood in a duplex and the company was recommended by a friend because they can do scoping with a camera. Both of the units had a back up but when the plumbers showed up they only scoped from the lower unit. They made the video and there was no sign of the back up from a lower unit.
A month later the same flood happened again. I had to do an emergency call to them at night and pay the late night emergency fee of $ 100 as it was on a Friday evening, the new guy that came was really good but didn’t have scoping equipment and recommended to call the same guy that came the first time to take care of that. Monday the first guy comes to do the scoping and the cleaning and charges me over $ 300 for the scoping for the scoping for the second time in addition to the cleaning of the roots they still had to do as the problem was between the units and the first time they assumed the problem was down from the lower unit and didn’t want to bother with the upper unit at all.
So basically they charged me 3 TIMES for a job that should have been done in the first try and i had to experience the flooded carpets for the second time because they assumed the problem was in down from the house and didn’t bother to check from the upper unit all the way down the pipes like they should have the first time. Not only that, but the guy flat out told me he thought it’s fair to charge me for scoping the second time because it rarely happens that pips would get clogged under the house which is why they didn’t look the first time. VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SAY THE LEAST as they didn’t only do their job right the first time, but charged me 3 times for their inadequate service.

I’ve used the services of Electric Rooter several times for my home as well as rental property. They are honest, fast, and fair. I would not recommend anyone else. It’s so nice to know that you can trust the people you call to do a great job. There is no guessing with these guys. If you call them, you will get great service!

These guys were a last resort after another company failed to unclog the pipes. They came, snaked and voila, the water was gone. Their charge ($ 135) was fair.
The reason why it worked whereas the other company (B&E rooters) did not is, imo, that their machine is newer, longer and stronger.
I had them second time after 1.5 years, the result was not as good. Too bad.

Chris H. and I recently noticed we had a little water coming out of our basement drain. We ignored it thinking it was part of the ruins from the water main breaking on our street. And then it happened again… no ignoring it this time if I didn’t want to step in water every time I did laundry.
had a few positive reviews of this company so we went with them. The phone was answered promptly. The woman was able to ask a few questions and then quote me two prices (depending on what the actual problem was once the workers got out here). I was told I would receive a call between 2:30−5 pm right before the van would show up.
My only beef is that I received no call. The van just showed up and I was just walking out the door to pick up my husband. Besides that, they did show up in the quoted window (about 4:00 pm) and the price was accurate. They worked fairly quickly and cleared the tree root out of our sewer main (fun, right?).
We paid 136.50 with tax. It took them about an hour. They did offer to look with a camera to make sure everything was set — but I’m cheap and that raised the price to 209. Not a bad service. Not 5 star, but no regrets here.
