We opened our doors May 11, 2015. Matthew Nelson PT, DPT has been practicing in the Salt Lake City area for 7 years in private practice after being in Colorado for 3 years, while Jessica Bauerkemper PT, DPT has been practicing for the past year here in Utah after graduating from USC.

Matt is originally from Santa Maria, CA received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He received his DPT degree from Regis University in Denver, Co. in 2006. He spent three years as an assistant instructor of anatomy and musculoskeletal management at Regis as well as working in private practice before moving to Salt Lake City in 2008. He has also been an affiliate Faculty Instructor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions since 2011. Matt was first introduced to trigger point dry needling techniques in 2007 and quickly became an assistant instructor with Kinetacore, which he now teaches around the country and in Canada throughout the year. Once moving to Utah, he tirelessly spent the next 6 years working with the state of Utah and his professional organization to allow physical therapists to perform trigger point dry needling. It was passed into law in 2014. Because of his efforts, Matt was awarded with the honor of PT of the Year in Utah.
