History

Established in 1976.

Almost 39 years of experience with special attention to personal, work and auto accidents. We also offer family care and treat children. Our office is equipped with various ancillary treatment modalities along with chiropractic techniques to get you on your way to a healthier, more comfortable you. These modalities include lumbar and cervical traction, electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, cold laser, homeopathic injection therapy, massage therapy (licensed LMT on staff), kinesiotaping, nutrition and exercise. Dr. Lane utilizes a number of different manipulative techniques/​adjustment procedures to treat you best and to find out which one works best for you. Dr. Lane is a former board member with the Utah Chiropractic Association and the Utah Chiropractic Physicians Association; is a chiropractic provider for the Utah Medical Assistance Program; sits on the review panel for Network Management Group (NMG); and is enrolled in the Dept. of Transportation Medical Examiners course.

1976 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Ill. Dr. Lane graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and obtained a BS in Human Biology. After graduation, he practiced in Ogden with his father and brother who also are chiropractic physicians, but moved to Salt Lake City in 1978 to open Downtown Chiropractic & Massage Therapy. Dr. Lane is married (wife Barbara is the office manager) and has 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

I came to SLC for a six week project and went to Dr. Lane after an old spinal and neck injury flared up. His diagnosis and treatments over my stay there were tremendous and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He’s not just a snap it back in place and fix it – he’s focused on long-​term and even permanent HEALING. His knowledge and experience are vast and his adjustments are immediate in their relief: and importantly he did a lot to inspire me to be more conscientious of my participation in my own healing, too, which I think is a rare gift for any kind of physician.
His staff are warm and congenial and welcoming, I’ve never experienced more than a couple minutes of wait time for my scheduled appointment, and — when I went in at very short notice for my first visit (boy, was I in pain) they were able to fit me in almost immediately.
If you’re visiting or passing through Salt Lake City and you find yourself in need of a chiropractor — Dr. Lane is the one to see. If you’re a resident, even more so.

I was in a bad car accident and had been in physical therapy for months and had hit wall in my progression with my neck and shoulder. I found dr lane and he has helped me tremendously! I took my husband to help his neck problems and now both of us go once a month for maintenance. The staff is awesome and dr lane ACTUALLY listens and wants to help you feel better.

I have been to three chiropractors for my lower back problems and Doctor Lane is by far the best. Aside from being the only chiropractor who has noticeably improved my condition, Dr. Lane went the extra mile and got my insurance to approve a muscle stimulation device. I’ve been seeing Dr. Lane for over five years now. As an athlete, I it’s important to function at my optimal capacity at all times. Dr. Lane helps keep me functioning and always has time to squeeze me in for a tune-​up before my events. Dr. Lane is AMAZING. I went to see Dr. Lane after I was in a serious car accident where I was not wearing a seat belt, flew into an airbag at about 45 mph and could hardly turn my neck after. After several weeks of putting off seeing anyone, and having always been a little resistant to see a chiropractor, and several recommendations to him, I went to see Dr. Lane. It took only 2 visits and my neck and back were healed. Following, I realized intense additional pains in my right shoulder and chest where I hit the air bag. He used electro-​therapy, massage, and over several weeks had improved the healing much quicker than I anticipated.
Dr. Lane is an avid skier and is very active, so he understands wanting a quick recovery time. He is highly professional and I would recommend Dr. Lane for any chiropractic needs. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor and how much he helped me.

This guy knows what he’s doing. I have a pinched nerve or pulled muscle in my lower neck and shoulder so I decided to stop in and get adjusted. My wife goes to him and raves about him so I made an appt. It’s real easy and I even did all my paperwork online through his website before going in which I hate filling all those forms out in the lobby so why not from my couch? Dr. Lane came in and we talked about my pain, he took me back to a different room and put electrodes on my back to do a muscle therapy that felt really good. After 15 minutes of involuntary muscle spasms that were awesome he adjusted me. I felt like he ripped my head off my shoulders because my neck really hurt before going in but about 10 minutes later I felt amazing. He also does these injections with botanicals to relieve pain that my wife receives and they work miracles. He knows what’s up.
