David Eccles School of Business

I’m not exactly how to write a review about places like this. I mean, I go to school here, and it technically is a business because I pay them thousands of dollars for my education, so I’ll just kind of go with it.
I’m a junior at the University of Utah currently studying economics with a business minor. Having been to many different schools, I finally arrived on the decision to come to the zoo after I looked at their programs and the classes offered. In the business school specifically, I am very impressed with the faculty and the resumes. They all have extensive teaching experience with the company professional experience that helps and tie in their lessons to the real world. This is crucial when learning, as it is almost impossible to become an expert on anything by just reading a textbook. Hearing first-​hand experiences from business successes and failures from my professors has help me comprehend the concept much more clearly.
The building itself is very new. Everything is in tiptop shape the classrooms are large, the equipment is fantastic, layout of the building was very well done and there is even one of my favorite cafés on the fifth floor.
My only real gripe is the parking. There’s a pay lot directly adjacent south of the building. I would love to park there every single day, but I can’t afford $ 20 a day to park just a little bit closer than I would otherwise. If you are a speaking visitor, make sure to try and get validations for parking.
Overall, the quality of education I have received within the school of business is been fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone seeking and upper division business, finance, accounting, computer science, etc., major. I love the business school and all the professors in it.

If you’re looking for a nice place to study definitely come up here for those late nighters. Come up to the 5^th floor and there’s a nice café with a garden outside for a beautiful view. If you like to sit inside then go up to the 6^th floor and you can do your studying while looking outside to the beautiful city lights.

This edition to the David Eccles School of Business is the new, state-​of-​the-​art Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building. The building design and views are absolutely breathtaking. The space is designed for maximum student-​faculty interaction. This building will help the Eccles School of Business to continue to climb the ranks.
