Need to go to Cruzers this weekend. Never been there. Heard good things about it. Friend works there so gotta go. Any good tips to know?

Inconsistencies, out of certain items and drinks, food has been hit and miss over the last few months and not always available.

Not a place i see myself coming to frequently. Cruzrs is set right in Holladay across from A Bar Named Sue. Right above an arcade(bonus!) it’s in the upper part of a 2 story building. It’s got a decent amount of space that has several pool tables, community tables and poker tables in the back area. They also have a large karaōke area. I ventured in on a Friday night with some friends and karaōke commenced shortly after getting there. Now i love drunk people singing, but for the love of everything that is holy, TURNTHEVOLUMEDOWN. Unfortunately, the vocals were way too loud and the guy wouldn’t turn them down. The bar itself was run by a guy who was nice enough, but was more interested in talking with his friends more than serving. The girl that was serving was hilariously grouchy which makes ordering drinks so much fun. They don’t have a lot of beer on tap and their whiskey selection is similar to what i feel like i’d find in a bishop’s liquor cabinet. I feel like there is potential for a cool bar, but it’s not quite there.

My friends and I go here for karaōke and the heated barn and always have tons of fun. There is one bar tender that always seems to be working when we are there and he is never very nice to us. I always feel guilty getting another drink. So if we feel like drinking more we will go up to The highlander, they are a lot friendlier!

One of the coolest little bars ever. I’ve only been here a few times but I’m a big fan. Drinks are fairly cheap and the bar itself is just… cool. I love the décor, the patio is super fun with a tree growing right through the middle of it. It’s right above the Atomic Arcade which I love — you can go have a few cocktails and head downstairs to play some cheap games. They do have a few fun Arcade games in house if you either don’t feel like making the treck downstairs, or if you get too drunk to handle stairs. A plus in my books!

Never been to Cruzrs before, and I have to say it was better than I thought it would be. The bar was pretty full(it was friday night) but our group still never waited more than a minute or two for a pitcher or a shot. Average prices, you aren’t getting a great deal, but it’s not a rip off either, the pool tables were well maintained and they have a nice porch and shed if you need to go out and smoke. The only thing that takes this down from a 5 to a 4 is Karaōke. I HATE karaōke, because it’s the same no matter what bar you go to, it’s one group of drunk chicks singing crappy pop songs, mixed in with the DJ singing, because only one group of people even wants to participate. I don’t know if they do Karaōke every night, or just when I was there, but without that this bar would be a 5 for sure.

3.5 stars. Decent beer prices, I got a bit drunk so I don’t recall the cost of mixed drinks and shots, I’ll edit accordingly at a later time. Overall a decent bar with a good crowd. The crowd is quite the melting pot, of young and old alike. There are pool tables, a bar, tables a large covered outdoor smoking/drinking area and a friendly staff. The people I have met here have been decent, on occasion I’ve had run ins with the cocky drunkard but nothing serious, just another person that got too drunk. The only real negative thing I have to say about this bar is it has to be some of the worst karaōke nights I’ve ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Granted there’s always some bad singers at any karaōke night but this place seems to always have a couple that will kill your buzz and make your ears bleed… So if you hate karaōke make sure you avoid those nights.

Worst. Bar. In. Salt. Lake. Seriously unless you are into biker gangs, gropers, other people who will threaten you if you bump them by accident, «cocktails» all done with a beverage gun, and bouncers who don’t give a shit about keeping a safe environment, don’t go. Personally I expect to drink my beer in peace when I go out, thanks.

I will be going back :-) I asked the bar tender to make me a drink that tastes like summer, and that clever guy did a rendition of a my thai, yummy! I had a pepperoni pizza and it was Delicious! I really like the vibe of this place and I will be going back on a night that they have karaōke :-)

Great prices, good service, good food, nice space, decent bathrooms, GREAT karaōke. What more could you want? I’d go every week if it were closer to home!

$ 8.50 for a pitcher of Chasing Tail? Uhm, I am more than a freaking fan. That was one of the best deals I have experienced for a pitcher of beer. The place wasn’t bad either — especially if you like sports, there are TV’s all over the place and a huge projector with a screen the size of my apartment. Their patio is pretty cute with some super cute little lights hanging in a tree. Honestly, they built the patio around that huge tree — making me a bigger fan of this place!

Best locals bar in the area, feels like Cheers everyone knows everyone, but if you are new prepare for new friends. Also has the largest and clearest movie theater hd screen in the state. Surround that by 11 big hd screens and the NFL Sunday Ticket you can’t go wrong.

Cruzrs is my new favorite bar!!! It makes sense, because I love dive bars, and Cruzrs is the king of all dive bars. But what’s not to love? The steins are reasonable, so are the shots, there is excellent karaōke on Friday nights(people will sing and and dance on stage with you!), and the bartenders are awesome. The crowd here is diverse and outgoing. People of all ages and from all walks of life get together to booze it up and chat it up. The patio looks very inviting and makes me excited for warmer weather. A Bar Named Sue gets all the glory on this part of Highland, but I urge you to take a chance and cross the street(there’s no way you’ll find parking in Cruzrs’ lot anyway). You will be surprised and delighted by the friendly atmosphere at Cruzrs.

We started going to cruzrs about 4 years ago for their Saturday night karaōke. We liked the great bar service and the chill atmosphere that allowed us the ability to sing quite a bit. Ever since then, the place has become increasingly crowded and irritating. While that’s great for them and we still love the bar staff and our favorite bouncer, it totally sucks sitting sound for HOURS waiting to sing. And while you are waiting, you have to endure what seems like the same 6 people singing the worst buzz killingington songs EVER! We have loved this place for years but have recently not only given up on this place, but also given up on spending our Saturday nights having karaōke fun times.

I’m sad, like, in an I-lost-a-friend type of way, but this place has gone down hill. It was kind of on the bottom of the hill always, but there were some things that made it pretty awesome, like Saturday night karaōke back when it was fun. In my first review, I mentioned the patio food being the best part about this place. It hasn’t been there for months, now. The grill area just sits there, lonely and sad, in kind of a crappy bar with really crappy parking. The pitchers are still cheap, and Medo the bartender is still friendly. That’s why I updated to three stars instead of two. I’m still sad.

I think it took me a few weeks to actually visit Cruzrs. I first noticed it after going to A Bar Name Sue across the street. But ever since I have been many times. I really like the atmosphere here and we seem to always come on karaōke night on Saturdays. There’s always a variety of people here that love to sign karaōke. Plus the drinks are cheap, especially when ordering a domestic pitcher.

I kind of love Cruzrs despite missing a vowel. Drinks are pretty cheap. Can you really say no to a pitcher of good beer for $ 8.50? I think not. They used to have great food but I don’t think they serve it anymore. Bring it back! Bartenders are nice and on top of it. Even on a busy night, you’re not waiting around forever just to order. They have a little patio with picnic tables and a shed/barn with more seating. It’s all about Saturday nights here. Karaōke. Okay so most of the people aren’t the greatest singers here but who cares? Everyone is having fun! There’s a dance floor so even if you’re shy about singing, don’t worry. You will probably have some drunk/fun people dancing around you the whole time anyway.

I LOVE this place! Never have I been to a bar where the house was completely brought down by a rousing rendition of total Eclipse of the Heart, that every single last person in the bar was singing along to. And right after that? Time Warp from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Um, hello? It doesn’t get any more awesome than that. If you’re a karaōke n00b, this is a great place to get your feet wet. NO matter what you sing, you WILL have at least 2 – 3 other drunk people up there on stage singing with you, whether you know the or not, and quite possible people dancing up there, too. It’s a very welcoming, though raucous, crowd. Drinks are cheap, they have a good patio, what’s not to love? I can tell you. The parking. That part sucks. However, you can pregame across the street at Sue’s and then jaywalk on over if you like.

After attending a near by Bar and being dissapointed, my group was looking for a near by alternative. I’ve heard of this place and was kind of offset of the idea of just walking it. I’m glad I did, when We got to the door We had our I. D.‘s in hand, the older gent who checked them seemed delighted at our prepareness to hand them over. Walking to the Bar, I noticed a simple layout with not many frills, which is what I LOVE. I asked the bartender if they served Pabst Blue Ribbon, she responded«We only serve good beer». Being able to laugh it off I ordered some Blue Moon, then later a Tom Collins. The bartender for sure had a unique personality that was somewhat haughty, but thats what gives a place character, and I liked it. Not a place for wusses, uptights, yuppies, scensters or hipsters… all pluses! Not a dive Bar per se, but along the lines of one. Imagine the best well kept Dive, and thats Cruzers.
