Best chicken kabob in SLC. Their lunch meal with rice and a salad is amazing and not expensive.

Best Greek food in the city. Hands down. Phenomenal. Crazy delicious. I’m in love with this place and the guys who work here are sweet and funny and make you feel like family. Don’t go anywhere else!

Probably my favorite chicken souvlaki. The portions are huge! So much lemon rice that it could put somebody into a coma. The food is so fresh and I’m always down to go on a weeknight. With these portions — I always have leftovers. 4 stars because I wish they were open later. They close at 8.

Great food, great price. I love how small and old the dining area is. I have eaten here at least 100 times over the last 10 years, and I still enjoy eating here. Had the gyro today and I have to say it made my day. Staff are all great as well!

Wow what awesome service and friendly people. This is the most food you’re going to get for $ 6. The chicken was excellent(juicy). Just sitting here 15 minutes I saw a dozen people come in and get food and know the owner by name. What an awesome atmosphere as well. Great job folks, keep it up.

This place is great, affordable and so, so tasty would recommend to anyone. The portions are really big and the spit in the window is awesome to watch.

Lunch time is busy busy ! Traditional kabobs, amazing rice and home made dressings. My favorite here is the combination plate. One chicken kabob, one beef and some gyro meet with rice salad and pita. Their baklava is flaky and not too sweet. The owner is always here and happily serving his guests.

Maybe it was the food I ordered(chicken sandwich something with potatoes), but it was just not the greatest. The potatoes were very greasy and over-seasoned for my liking. The garbages were overflowing(I had to put my plate on top of a stack of others on top of the garbage, like a Leaning Tower of Pisa) and the overall look was not very clean. I probably will not return here.

Was really disappointed in Chicken express. My co worker and i was trying to decide what we should have for lunch. Lets try chicken express. One of many friends decided not to come with she doesn’t like chicken express. Ok ordered to go. Came back to work with our food.(to go). I got a gyro sandwich. My gyro was burnt. That’s all I could taste. You would think you would take. Pride in your food so people Would Come back. So disappointed.

It’s hard to pull my husband away from Crown burger, but I am really glad i was able to. The name of this place is not indicative of what’s really going on inside. Not much to look at and it may be divey, but it’s clean. Nice people. Busy. Great value. The food is delicious and you get lots of it!. The dolmas, kabobs, rice, salad… i was really loving all of it. Thank goodness for places like this!

Really good. First time visiting tonight. Got the chicken kabob plate. Side of rice, pita and salad. HUGE portions. Like too much. My plate was 75% rice tho and it wAsnt that flavorful. I’d rather have more pita. Tzaiki sauce was fresh and delicious– next time I’ll ask for an extra side. The chicken was yummy! Juicy and seasoned great. This place was really good and i will go again!

Food is fine. I ordered quarter chicken with rice and pita bread and salad. Pita was excellent. Salad quite boring. Service is memorably mediocre.

The food is amazing, the portions are HUGE and the prices are fair. I eat here at least once a week.

I had heard of this place but today was my first time eating here. I ordered a «small chicken and ribs combo» and the plate was mounded high. The rice and salad were good but unremarkable. The chicken was delicious as were the ribs. It could use just a little more sauce and the ribs were more bone than meat. The place was packed for lunch and the dishes coming from the kitchen looked great.

Love this place. The owner is pleasant and you can tell he takes pride in serving great food. Everything I have had here tastes fresh and the prices are reasonable.

I won’t go back. The chicken breasts I ordered were wings, not breasts, and the food was just okay. The owner was very curt and abrupt, coupled with the place being kind of dirty. They ran out of several items while we were there with no apology to the customers coming in… I can go elsewhere for chicken.

It shocks me how much I like this place. I’ve only ever had the takeout, so I can’t comment on the dive-i-ness of the place, but the food is excellent. I’ve never had Greek food and weird spices typically terrify me. But this was just foreign enough to be awesomely different but not weird enough to scare off a Café Rio-loving, non-food snob like me.

I’ve been here a couple of times for lunch during the work week and I think the small chicken and rib combo taste fantasticI also do half rice half potato cause of the large portions they give. It also comes with a small order of salad with a tasty vinegar dressing. My friends order the chicken kabob that they say tastes great! Be prepared for rush hour during lunch. You can call in your to-go order but prepare to be at least 15 min.

Quite simply, a great place to eat. Period. As with most Greek food in Salt Lake, it’s pretty delicious with their perfectly cooked meats paired with rice, pita, and salad. The photos speak for themselves. With the State Street location and ample parking just north of their little restaurant, this is a good pick for lunch or for chit chat during late dinner.

Place looks scary from the outside and inside but the food was very good and the portions were HUGE. The chicken was delicious and so was the rice. BBQ beef ribs were good just very messy and greasy. Most people were taking out but we dined in. Place is busy lunch and dinner.
