AT&T

While people often have notoriously negative experiences with cell phone companies, my experience at this particular AT&T store was nothing short of phenomenal! To be honest, I did not expect to walk into this store and walk away happy. I walked in prepared for battle. While I spent the better part of 4 hours there, it was the single best cell phone company experience of my life.
We all know that incorrect charges end up on our bill, unplanned overages are charged at astronomical fees, etc. and this all happens quite often. But it’s the way these problems are fixed (or not fixed) that makes or breaks your experience with a company.
We worked with Alondra who was amazing! She was helpful, quick, very knowledgeable and offered us different options but never pushed anything! She helped us get the best deal possible. There were several other people who helped and I wish I remembered their names! But ask for Alondra, she will show you how shopping at AT&T can be a positive experience!

It’s hard sometimes to start off these reviews because you just don’t know where to start after having astronomical frustrating moments. After going into the store and having my data plan changed and backdated to cover the overages that I occurred. I was told they with future date a time to get into my account and credit the difference of the plan because of my loyalty. After receiving my bill and seeing over $ 300 in data charges I was absolutely flabbergasted at the representative and AT&T in general. I’ve been a loyal customer for years! I pay my bill on time, I upgrade every year, I paid overages when it’s my fault and yet when it comes to their mistake they will never own up to it. When I went back to the store to talk to the representative, a customer had puked all over the floor, the store smelled like barf! The entire time I was at the store no one cleaned it up! I canceled my service and I went to T-​Mobile and have never looked back! The service is great, the coverage is great, the plans are fantastic.

AT&T is amazingly incompetent, rude, and condescending! This store and AT&T are the worst thing I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with in my entire life! I’d rather do my taxes in the dmv while getting audited than deal with AT&T ever again! I wish zero stars was an option!
I was an AT&T customer for over 9 years. Not one month went by without some random bogus charge on my bill. I would go into this store or call. They would apologize and take the INCORRECT charge off my bill. I would have thought this was honest mistakes but every month!!! Come on! This is fraud! FRAUD plain and simple!!! This cost me so many hours out of my life that if the service was free it still wouldn’t have been worth it! It’s like having a part time job just to correct billing «errors»!!! This is most certainly against the law but nothing I could do about it.
What really made me drive over to T-​Mobile was the horrible customer service. And that’s pretty much all they are there for is CUSTOMER SERVICE! They are worthless!!! I went into the store with yet again a error on my bill. I explained the situation and told them I’ve been a customer for over 9 years. I was a loyal customer and had to deal with this every month. Not only was the error not resolved my bill went up A LOT because I changed phones… What!!! Does being a loyal customer for that long get me nothing?!
I asked this and was literally told by the manager «your 9 years means nothing to AT&T and if you don’t like it switch to a different carrier»!!! That’s pretty much a direct quote!
I was speechless for a time but then told him I’d be canceling within a week and he just laughed and said he loves those early termination fees and walked away!
I was horrified! I will NEVER step foot in this store again! And I will never use AT&T again!
I honestly love T-​Mobile! Never a bill problem. Service is awesome. Customer service is 100% better than AT&T.
AT&T is the worst! The absolute worst!!!

I have been a dedicated AT&T customer for over a decade and have relied on this downtown store for all of my customer service needs for much of that time. I was always greeted by clean, professional looking and knowledgeable staff that would have me out the door in an appropriate time frame.
I don’t know when they hired the B-​team, but this is not the store, service or experience I have ever received. My recent interaction with them has been enough for me to actually consider changing my service. There is no longer the sharp looking staff that is directly addressing my needs, but sloppy sagging pants associates and pink dragon lady nails scratching their face and chest while «doing it for me» on my equipment. I had to go in twice to discover that they had actually not confirmed my insurance claim had gone through and then I was told that sometimes their communications from their core stores don’t always make it in to the mothership. YOU are my cellular provider and I count on YOUR service. How is it appropriate to give me a half-​baked excuse that I would get from a stoner fast food cashier when he doesn’t show up to work.
I used to really appreciate the service this store provided and after the last 2 times walking through their door I will not be returning. I am currently in search of another AT&T core store that resembles the company I used to do business with. If I can’t find it soon I’ll be letting Verizon or Sprint take a chance at exceeding my expectations.

AT&T and this store in particular has lost me as a customer. I signed up for international coverage for my iPad for a single 12 day trip and was billed on a recurring charge for several months. I had used international AT&T many times before without any problems. When I brought this concern to AT&T they refused to refund me even a single dime. I recommend avoiding AT&T because of their deceptive practices. They changed their online platform to trap unwary customers into recurring plans.

Not very nice and always try to sell you more expensive plan and products. I called them several times but nobody picks up the phone.

Great location great service. Love this location and Alondra was very helpful and very kind. Got everything that I needed and was out in no time. Friendly staff and great selection of In-​Stock phones. Will visit this location again.

This place is just as awful at the DMV. The wait is ridiculously long, even with an appointment. The estimated wait times are not accurate and the staff is sluggish.

I’ve been to this store several times now, and have been treated extremely well — professionally, and in a friendly manner.

Don’t get sucked in by their bs low rate plan. they charge extras and will get you in a continuum of contracts so you cant’ get a competitive rate. Buyer beware — stay away!
My bill this month was over $ 500 for family of four. They would not adjust and wanted to «pro-​rata» the current month rather than putting me in a competitive plan. Get this — the overage was VOICE!
Please read the fine print and look out 12 months before you sign with these communistic bass tards (intentional). They want to rape you, your family wife, children…
But — organized by our FCC and congress– thank you very much

I was here from out of town and had to go on for an emergency (phone not charging). I was dreading it since back home my experience was as awful as those described below. I was so pleasantly surprised. The wait was no longer than 10 minutes and everyone was super friendly. Keanu even walked me out and opened door! If AT&T could just work on consistency that would be awesome.

I went to get a new SIM card. Mine had stopped working. They were very helpful and even followed up after to see how my experience was.

Ryan helped me out and was awesome.
Went on a sunday morning, not a lot of people so it was pretty great.
Their customer service is legit. They are pretty personalized and take the time to tell you everything about the products and contracts.
They use an online platform sort of app where they can do anything for you. Pretty awesome, but lots of dependency in technology which could be a good/​bad thing depending on what’s going on.
The store was clean and organized, and my experience was great.

Good experience buying an iPad. Fast and friendly. They helped with the set-​up, and answered all my questions.

Extremely stressful experience going here to get my phone upgraded (online and on the phone couldn’t support my specific request about my plan). Not sure why I thought it was going to be a quick in-​and-​out but next time I will not bring my baby who started crying halfway through the hour we were there — and I’ll bring my husband who has firmer convictions against pushy salespeople.
The rep who helped me was a SALESPERSON first and foremost — not really any concern for what I wanted or what was best for me, but what she thought was best for me. She spent the first 5 minutes trying to convince me I needed the new AT&T Next monthly lease plan ($ 200+ and a year earlier for an upgrade I’d just have to pay more for again or $ 0.99 out the door for an iPhone 4? Hmm…) and then when she knew I wasn’t going for it, went straight for accessories (do I want a fancy case? Some speakers? Any chargers?) She told me about the monthly insurance plan ($ 10/​mo) but never asked me if I wanted it and when I checked my receipt later she had added it without confirming with me. So irritating — now I have to get on the phone and cancel it before I’m charged. All the while, my poor baby was crying because we were in the store so long — felt a little taken advantage of while I was tending to the baby.
To her credit, she did help me exchange my old iPhone for a sweet $ 100+ store credit which paid for all my other purchases. She also patiently sat with me and uploaded my photos from my old phone so it would transfer over but I am still wrestling with organizing everything back to normal again (and I lost all my text messages — ugh.) She was a really nice person but it took me a long time to get over how stressful the pushy sales experience was.
Some of the other reps seemed a lot less intense. The manager there was really on top of getting everyone on a waiting list if it was busy — very friendly people, just definitely a sales-​first, customer-​second place.
Next time I will just go home and back up my phone first, and then go to a different store or speak with someone else.

I came here before and customer service was horrible so I went to the store at city creek much better. I came back a year later WORST customer service I’ve experienced! I lost my phone so I just came to get a Sim card since I did not have a phone yet. the rep that helped me named Randall seemed helpful at first as soon as he knew I was not getting an upgrade he seemed annoyed like I was wasting his time since I was not buying a phone smh! I tried to activate the Sim over the phone but they told me there are no notes saying I came into the store to get the Sim card and that I had to go back to the store. Silly me goes back to this same store just to activate my phone or Sim card. The guy that helped me was friendly but slow. ive activated a phone many times it only takes about 10 to 15min. I repeated my # back to him 3 times. English was his second language so u was patient with him. half an hr passed and I had to leave for work. This guy activated the wrong phone number on the sim card and seemed unapologetic. I was already late, for work so i just asked for my phone and was about to leave when he says that he shut my husbands phone off so I just told him to activate, another Sim so I can give it, to him. He says no he needs him here smh. At the end my phone is still not active and now my husbands phone is off. He never apologized and made it seem like it was my fault. Now I have to go to another store that has reps that actually know what they are doing. went in to activate one phone left with 2 phones inactive. i dont have all day to spend at at&t

I would go to another AT & T store for customer service. This place is horrible. Waited more than 20 minutes with no help what so ever. They were busy trying to sell phones. No one was there to take my name for help when I walked in and no one working the register by the door. I found the product I was looking for, but since no one would help ring me up at the register I left. I have visited numerous AT & T stores and have NEVER received such horrible service. Stay clear of this place and go else where for good service and help.

Terrible customer service. Made me feel like I was unwanted. We went there to buy a phone device but the employees were busy either talking to each other or looking at the contact transfer device. When I asked a lady to help us check out, she just said «I am busy with another customer». We just left the store. Never again.

Sometimes very busy inside store. Great hours. Very helpful staff. Andrea at this location is the best! Such a great help and goes out of her way to do above and beyond. Deserves great compensation for her excellent customer service skills!
