Adjusting Sails Dirtworks is a pottery studio and gallery. They teach wheel thrown and hand-​built pottery classes in their Sugar House studio. The owner Jeff sells his own pottery in the studio’s gallery. He produces beautiful stoneware pottery including: bowls, platters, mugs, plates, tea pots, and more. The gallery is also home to work by other artists including: more pottery, handmade jewelry, and some woodworking. If you’re looking for a place to make or learn to make pottery this is the best studio in town. They have a large wheel room with 9 electric wheels, multiple bisque kilns, and a high-​fire downdraft gas kiln. All pottery produced is lead-​free and dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. They also have extruders and slab rollers available for handbuilders. With consistent weekly firings, a friendly group of students and resident potters, Adjusting Sails Dirtworks is a great place for anyone interested in making or buying pottery.
