A New Day Spa

I was not impressed. If you are expecting a day spa experience you will be very disappointed. The massage was alright. However, the building was not clean. I saw huge loads of dirty laundry piled up. The bathroom was very dirty, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in several days. The carpets looked dirty in the room. The woman working the front desk could have been more professional as well as the other employees. The owner told me that my 20% tip wasn’t enough, and that they usually get higher tips (so I gave a higher tip, but I thought 20% was fair for the mediocre experience). Their prices are day spa prices, but this is a run down facility. If you want to feel pampered, look somewhere else.

This day spa is nothing to write home about. They make an attempt by brining out chocolate dipped strawberries and a sparkling flavored juice. That doesn’t make up for the run down facility and the unkept appearance. The bathrooms were dirty and the laundry was piling up in the laundry room which you could look into. Carpets and furniture need to be replaced throughout the entire building and a professional housekeeping company is needed. The massage was ok, not the best, not the worst. Nice therapist just not the best. The front desk help was unprofessional and after my massage I walked out to pay and the therapists were stuffing their faces with food at the counter. So many other spas to choose from, charging the same price and providing truly relaxing (clean) experience. I’ll go else where next time.

Purchased 2 60-​minute massages through CityDeals online and decided to get the couples’ massage which they charged an extra $ 10 for. It included sparkling strawberry drinks and 2 chocolate strawberries. They pushed back our appointment 15 – 20 minutes and we still had to wait another 15 – 20 minutes after we arrived. Wouldn’t have been so bad but they were having problems with their heater in the room where they had us wait and it was pretty cool in there. I would best describe the décor as somewhat dingy. I was a little concerned about cleanliness. The massage room was a little nicer, but still not great. We both enjoyed our massages and my husband especially felt like his masseuse really addressed the problem he has with his rotary cuff. When we went to pay we were told that we were now VIP’s which meant we could always get the price we paid that day, but we should tip on the regular price of $ 190. That was a little weird. I own a barbershop and I would never tell someone how much they should tip a barber. We will probably not go back, mainly because we did not feel very relaxed in that environment.

I’ve had one massage there, and I thought it was great! I used a Groupon, and the 60 minute massage I received for $ 30 was fantastic. However, I am rating it a 3 because since then I have purchased more Groupons for them, one of them being a couples massage, and every time I call to make an appointment, nobody answers. Ever. I left messages asking them to call me back so we can schedule a time. They never returned my call. So, we paid $ 89 for a couples massage, that ended up expiring and we were never able to use it. Then last week I tried calling to make an appointment for a manicure. Again, nobody answered, so I just gave up and went into Got Beauty because they are always reliable for services.

Amazing deep tissue massage at an unbeatable price with the groupon. Wonderful (& comfortable) joint manipulation to help stretch everything out, and some of the best truly deep tissue massage time I’ve had by Vanessa. Definitely will be returning shortly!

I got my boyfriend their couples massage off of KSL. They were prompt and we got chocolate covered strawberries and a strawberry soda type drink. We had Kärin and Bobby and they were amazing! Very experienced and professional. Sheri at the front desk who owns the place was extremely accommodating to us and so friendly. Definitely recommend!

Yes, by the way the place looks, it may make you want to run out of there, but we got the couple’s massage and it was worth it! Brigham and Utanna (sp?) we’re professional and polite. I said after that it was the best massage I’ve ever had! A bit more pulling and really working through the muscles in a different way than what I was used to, but it really stretched out and relaxed my muscles. I’d go back!

Great place. Been here twice. Will continue to go here. Service is friendly and everything went smooth.

I don’t believe that you can go in to this business with your $ 30 Groupon expecting the Grand America Spa so my expectations were realistic. I had a pedicure, facial, and massage for $ 89 which is an incredible deal. The facial and pedicure were fine. They weren’t terrible but I’ve had better. The massage was great and my therapist Fathima was very professional and did a wonderful job.
For the services alone I would have given this review three stars (maybe four) but a few things really bothered me about this experience: 1) the conduct of some of the employees was extremely unprofessional. There was no uniform dress code — one of the male employees looked like he was on his way to a construction job. Some of them were eating their lunch in full view of me while I was getting a pedicure. A couple of them were joking around and dancing in the lobby … 2) The rooms were a little cluttered and the staff was disorganized which made it hard to relax. 3) The owner of the business told me how much I needed to tip. I thought that was extremely tacky and inappropriate.

If I were a «judge a book by its cover» kind of gal, I wouldn’t have gone past the parking lot on this one. I will admit, the building is sketchy from the outside. And even the inside could benefit from some updating.
With that being said, the massages were worth putting appearances aside! My husband and I went for a couples massage and were both so relaxed we forgot the other was there. Bobby and Utona were phenomenal! Above and beyond our expectations. This spa is FAR from our house, but worth the drive for a second trip!

Purchased a groupon online as a gift for my boyfriend. We enjoyed a great couples massage by Bobby and Isabell. Both were very friendly and professional, my boyfriend and I both felt extremely comfortable. Great value and exceptional service. I will be returning again, hands down!

Thought I’d treat myself and booked a massage here the other day. When I called whomever answered made it seem like I was inconveniencing them. As I had never been before I wasn’t sure what to expect — not the prettiest building driving up but not one to judge a book by its cover I didn’t let this influence me. I was greeted promptly and told who would be working on me, then told about four times how amazing they were. This seemed over kill and I kinda wondered if the lady was trying to convince me or herself. When I was taken back I was impressed by the room and the atmosphere. The massage itself was mediocre — not bad but far from the best I’ve ever had. When I was leaving I was surprised to find a police officer in the foyer — not exactly relaxing. The woman, I assumed is the manager, proceeded to talk to the officer in the foyer about what appeared to be a domestic disturbance. I found this quite odd and felt this was a conversation that should have been had in another room away from other customers — the poor girl waiting for a treatment looked absolutely horrified. All in all its unlikely I would go back, even with the ksl and groupon promotions they are doing.

Sherrie the owner is the most unprofessional psycho business owner ever! DO NOT go to A New Day Spa! She’s a rip off! I paid for the couples massage and scheduled it for October I called back the same day to cancel because I started reading about her business and how horrible it is so I canceled it. She gave me the hardest time about canceling and told me it’s my problem and told me to figure out how to get my own refund!!! She stated she doesn’t know how to refund on her CC machine! Wtf!!! I’m reporting her to the BBB and I had to dispute this charge as fraud! This lady should not be running a business! Save your money and time! And read the reviews on here, her business is ghetto and she’s a bitch!

Seriously people, I’ve been to faster nail school! The technicians are nice enough but only one of them actually acted like a professional. Sloppy inappropriate dress and behavior. My technician put her salad by the tub where I was going to put my feet! That is unsanitary to say the least… And was eating pizza while talking to me. I’ll update you on whether I get a disease. I did not like my experience at all! DO NOT COME HERE

Worst customer service, worst customer experience, worst spa experience EVER!
1.5 hours for a shellac manicure! The woman who worked on me didn’t know how to do a manicure; I felt like she was still in nail school! Some of the people there dress inappropriately! The environment didn’t feel like a SPA at all; no pampering! I had a 3pm appointment and the person working on my nails had to go home and get her nails stuff. She was 38 minutes late! Don’t waste your money there!

There is nothing classy or clean about the place. You get what you pay for. It’s dark, dingy and the carpet is lumpy.
I had a massage and the guy was sniffing/​snorting mucous the WHOLE hour! I was too worried about getting sick to ever relax.
Saw another «massage therapist» wearing dirty cut off jean shorts. Looked like he just wrapped construction somewhere.
Oh, another massage, I asked if he was using a scrub, he said, «no those are callouses on my hands» GROSS!
They aren’t honest about pricing, they don’t even list prices on their web-​site. I was told this is because they always have «a special.»
Unprofessional on the phones, my first call, the gal didn’t know how to book my appt and asked me to call back. Next time I left a message and no one called me back.
The whole vibe is weird. You’ve been warned. It’s not worth the «great deal» you get on discount sites.
Oh, if you tip your therapist directly, the owner yells at you/​hassles you to leave a tip as you head out the door.
My best friend happened to go to the same place before I could warn her. After laser hair removal, she was given a filthy towel covered in black curly hair. #GROSS
There was a sink full of hair too. After posting her review she was contacted by the owner who threatened retaliation on her family owned business. #weaksauce

It took over a month for the bruise to heal. I’ve talked with several people who have received injections from qualified practitioners. They all said this «nurse» has no idea what she is doing. There should never have been a shot delivered that low (UNDER my eye). STAY AWAY!

Every single time that my boyfriend and I have visited this establishment, we’ve always had a wonderful time. This is our favorite place to get a couples’ massage because it’s affordable in price, very satisfactory in quality, and exceptional in customer service.
They usually have deals through GroupOn, LivingSocial, KSL, etc. but if you call them before buying the deal, they’ll give you the same discount. It appears that their facility is always undergoing some sort of construction but it’s never bothered me. Their building is very clean with modern upholstery and a soothing atmosphere.
All of the therapists that we’ve had has always done a wonderful job. I’d pick this place over a Massage Envy anytime. It seems that their staff truly cares about the people that they’re treating. We’ve also gotten facials and pedicures done here. They’ve gone to grab us coffee and make the experience very comfortable cause they’re easy to have conversations with.
I’m sure that the people who’ve had negative experiences probably caught them during busy times. I know that they’ve been undergoing some staff changes so they may be understaffed. But once you get to the massage room, I’m positive it’ll be worth it.

Hold on for this one! Honestly I was hoping this place would redeem themselves but far from it. I live right around the block and have been wanting to try it. After message after message over a few weeks time (two messages with real people and at least 3 on voicemail and NEVER ever getting a call back I was annoyed.
Lets not waste too much time on the rude receptionist who made it the most difficult gift certificate to use ever (it was a Mother’s Day gift certificate purchased at the location). She almost didn’t accept it saying the worker who sold it didn’t work there anymore and had given gift certificates away. Long story short, she did accept it after a phone call from a very upset husband. She then tells me it’s for a mini pedi and on the card it says 60 min full spa pedicure. She didn’t want to do anything for us, trying to screw me over and cut corners every step of the way. YIKES this lady is so hard to work with!!!
I finally get to my appt and they take me right back to a room with about 8 chairs for pedicures and very low lighting.
Unfortunately, the nail tech was just as rude as the front desk lady. Really? Is no one nice and accommodating here? She didn’t ask if anything felt nice, didn’t rub for very long, & didn’t take down my calluses very well and spent most the pedi in another room (which was actually a good thing cause she wasn’t friendly and would rather gripe to her coworker over a «Facebook post» she saw). When I asked if I could pick out a color she curtly snipped at me. (Not sure why the lighting was so bad in a place where details matter either). The pedi was decent and the mask was great but I would rather go across the street and get the same thing there without any hassles for much much cheaper! It might even be better over there cause they actually know how to shave off calluses & give a good rub.
At the end the tip was confusing. At other spas I have either included it on my debit card or put cash in an envelope for her. I had to do cash this time & the front desk lady didn’t have cash to split my $ 10 & had to fish in her own pocket for some crumpled up bills. She then told me to just run my tip back to her. Weird. I told her to run it back for me. They didn’t have envelopes for tips or anything. It was pretty awkward.
For sure I will not be going back. It seems most others have had similar bad experiences, take our advice and don’t go here or you too will be posting a depressing review.

I used a 50% off Groupon for my massage, and I’m sure glad I didn’t pay full price.
My therapist, Doug, was a nice enough man, but wayyyy too rough for me. There were a couple moments where I told him to ease up, and he did his best, but I was actually bruised afterwards. I wanted a massage to relax, not to be in pain. Like I said, he was a kind man, and I felt badly for him, but he just was not a good fit for me.
He even said afterwards he may not have been the best therapist for me and recommended I ask for a different girl next time. They have you fill out a questionnaire about your massage preferences, but clearly don’t take any of that into consideration when they assign you a therapist. I think the fact that I was a Groupon customer may have had something to do with that.
Afterwards, he lady at the front desk was a little pushy and too eager to up-​sell me on all their services. No thank you.
I left with loose but pained muscles and a bad taste in my mouth.
