Dr. James M. Crouse is a board certified orthodontist specializing in orthodontics for all ages. Dr. Crouse is an Invisalign Top 1% Provider and has treated over 1,000 people with Invisalign. We also offer traditional braces, ceramic braces, Invisalign Teen, self ligating braces, AcceleDent, oral sleep apnea appliances and TMJ treatment.

History

Established in 1995.

Dr. Crouse completed his orthodontic residency at Emory University in Atlanta, where he graduated in 1991. He spent the next three years as the orthodontic consultant at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. He then returned home to Salisbury to practice with Dr. Alfred Beattie in 1994. Dr. Beattie retired in 1995 and Dr. Crouse took over his practice. The office was remodeled in 2008 to include a larger operatory and additional private exam rooms as well as a coffee bar and «play area» for patients including a Wii and interactive touch screen game consoles.

Dr. Crouse joined the United States Air Force after dental school in 1985 and completed a one-​year general practice residency at Barksdale AFB hospital. Dr. Crouse practiced general dentistry at RAF Bentwaters in the United Kingdom for three years and then left for orthodontic training. The Air Force sponsored Dr. Crouse’s orthodontic training at Emory University in Atlanta, from which he graduated in 1991. He spent the next three years as the orthodontic consultant at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany.

In 1994, Dr. Crouse left the Air Force to return home to practice with Dr. Alfred Beattie. Dr. Beattie retired in 1995.

Dr. Crouse is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association and the American Association of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is past president of the Eastern Shore Dental Society.
