Devage’s Subs & Donuts

This is a cutesy diner type sub and donut shop. The customer service and attention to detail are outstanding– the whole staff is very personable and quickly engages in conversation. They’re laid back and do not rush you to place an order or hurry up and eat– despite the small size. The size is not an issue though, they can easily accommodate groups by placing tables together as they did for our party of seven. The food is served piping hot and tastes fresh– you can watch them make it! My steak and cheese sub with mushrooms was average. I’d probably order it again, but the donuts are clearly the star of the show! I was kind of skeptical about getting icing and not playing it safe– I’ve had to many pink icing equals strawberry experiences. Not so at Devage’s — there are actual pieces of strawberry in the icing. I had to exhibit an enormous amount of self control not to order all that was in the case and cancel my sub order. I am doing my best to save the lemon one for my husband… we’ll see what happens. The donut tasted home made, had a lightness that was just wonderful and were the perfect amount of sweetness and cakeiness. I’m thinking I will have to come once a week now!

YUM! We have been here twice in the last week. Hubby is obsessed with the cheesesteak and fries. My burger was delish! Oh and the donuts are ridiculous!!! Glad we stumbled upon this little gem!!!

I have been here twice. The first time I got a breakfast sandwich that just wasn’t very good. The other day I was there for a ‘famous’ cheese-​steak’. The meat was not seasoned well (if at all) and it was so finely chopped, it was mushy. The place is pricey and, in my opinion, not worth it. The reason I gave it two stars was because the place appeared clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. The clientele appears to be made up of the older set so I felt a little out of place.

I enjoyed the cheese steak and milkshake that i got from Devage’s. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and I chatted with a couple that came in as well. When I inquired about their homemade donuts they let me try one, it was good.
I was on the fence for 3 or 4 stars, but none of the food really «knocked my socks off» so I went with three. a little pricey as well.
