Burn hole in the comforter, 2 pubic hairs in the tub when I filled it planning to give my toddler a bath, loud hwy 101 traffic all night, no wifi even though it’s advertised, mascara marks on the«clean» towel, stains on the chairs, creepy dark marks on the toilet seat… all in all a really disappointing experience. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Clean, friendly staff, great room. This place was a lifesaver. We were staying in Monterey(at a hotel 2x the price) and the room was unbearable. We called everywhere and this was the only place that had vacancy. We were surprised to see all the perks for such a low price. It had a microwave, fridge, great massaging shower, and a large, clean room. So much nicer than our expensive room in Monterey. We stayed 2 nights and all the staff was super friendly and had no problem with us requesting a late checkout. Breakfast was fresh, made-to-order waffles, Cheerios, apples, bananas, toast, pastries, coffees and juices. The hotel is next to a gas station and the highway, but we slept with the window open and it wasn’t too loud. This place also has a pool. All around great place, great price!

GROSS. Mold/mildew all over the shower curtain, deadbolt didn’t work, AC didn’t work, DIRTY, faucets installed backwards(hot on the right), faucet handles caked with hard water deposits. If I could have given zero stars I would have. What a freakin nightmare. They were sold out(really??), so we were stuck for the night. Actually, we were SCREWED for the night… and not in a good way.

Maybe I would’ve ‘appreciated’ this place more if the fiancé and I were without kids. Maybe if we had some killer story about drinking and dancing the night away, and just needing a place to sleep … Unfortunately this was not the case. We were in the Monterey area for the weekend, and didn’t want to drop the $ 250+ on a room in Monterey or any surrounding area for that matter. So we got this place, ugh. Wish I would’ve dropped the extra cash. The room was old and musty smelling. The bathroom is not ‘comfortable’, it just makes you feel icky. The a/c worked and then at some point during the night our room just turned to a humid/sticky box. The beds are hard as hell, and the pillows, or sheets of paper as I refer to them, were so thin. I guess it’s the whole you get what you pay for deal here. Bummer. Note to self: Next time SPLURGE for the better room!

It was a good place to stay, for its price. The guy on the reception was really nice and we requested a room facing the parking lot instead of the 101, and on the second floor, and he gave us everything we wanted. The room was clean and had pretty new furniture. It has a microwave, coffee machine, fridge. The fridge really does some noise from time to time, and the hotel is located in a pretty noisy area, so I would recommend sleeping with earplugs. On the second night we turned the a/c on to create a white noise and it really worked well. The a/c was not working, just the ventilation, so it was a bit hot for us. The breakfast was somewhat better than we were expecting. They had pastries, cereal, orange juice, coffee and hot water if you wanted tea or hot chocolate. It was a good experience overall and I would recommend it to a friend.

vagabond came through for me in a pinch since motel 6 was having a brain fart with my online reservation AND«all rooms are still dirty» at 1230pm — «they’ll be ready after 2». reception guy here is a bit stale. doesn’t seem he doesn’t know how to «smile». however, i, without any effort, worked him down to a competitive price for 1 night. room was clean and neat from entrance to the shower. everything worked well, with the exception to the fridge. it had this annoying noise every so often that woke me up. i could have just unplugged the damn thing but, whatever. beds are a little on the firm side. very close to 101 but not so close to eateries. in fact, on it’s block, in-n-out burger is your only option that’s with-in walking distance. you’ll have to jump in your car to find other options. i probably wouldn’t come back to this«inn» but, if in desperation, this will suffice.
