SRS and Hobbies

I went in to get some stuff for my nitro rc. They didn’t have anything I needed. They didnt have gas nor glow plugs nor ignighters, they had no parts for my nitro rc. This place is a joke. There inventory is so low they should just shut down. Their employees are so unhelpful and so unprofessional. I walk in wait 20 min just to be helped then get greeted with «what do you need» no «hey how are you» or nothing. The employee was walking past me (realy close multiple times) helping another customer and didn’t say «excuse me» once, totally unprofessional. After I asked the employee «when will you have the stuff I need» and he said «I don’t know» I was on my way out and he goes «sorry» I thought to myself don’t be sorry, run this place right. Anyways just want to let everyone know that this is not the place to got to. Don’t waste your time. There’s a hobby shop in marina and one in gilroy. My advice is bite the bullet and drive to gilroy like I did you won’t be disappointed gilroy hobby is 5 times bigger then SRS and has excellent customer service. Reasonable prices and way more of a selection.
All in all my visit to SRS was horrible.

This place has no RC cars in stock at all. They didn’t even have ONE lipo battery. I tried to call today and they have the dumbest directory thing that answers asking to put the first 3 letters of the person you want to reach. I don’t even know anybody there so how am I supposed to know someone’s name? Then it says to push 0 to go out of the directory and it just hangs up on me. Why cant they just answer the phone? Very annoying. Will go elsewhere

I been here a few times and just about every time they had what I needed. They have even ordered parts for me and they were ready for pickup in a couple days. Staff is very knowledgable as they are racers. Just wish more people would support them so they could stock more inventory.

I dropped off a couple of helicopters to get the receivers checked to make sure I didn’t hook the wires up wrong. The guy behind the counter took them and said his service tech would check them. The weekend came and went so I called on Tuesday and was told not checked yet but he would have them checked on Thursday. I called on Thursday afternoon and was told tech was swamped and they would possibly get to it on Thursday afternoon. Called today (Friday). Still nothing. I told them I would just come and pick them up on Saturday.
So I would not recommend them for servicing your rc products. Their inventory is pretty limited and I have gone in to have parts ordered and I wound up going home and ordering online.
I recommend the shops in Seaside, Gilroy or San Jose if your up for a drive.

I stopped by srs hoping they might have a connector I needed. They had it, and many others, and at a very reasonable price. They were polite, professional and gave me some great advice. Awesome in every way!

Ordered a part from the owner and was told to return Wednesday. Part was never ordered and the employee at the counter was not even close to being helpful. For having a business in a niche market and an extremely unattractive location I would at least TRY and be more personable to customers. Never going back again. I will take my business to other establishments with better customer service and knowledge of products offered.
