Squid Row Comics is a comic strip that was featured in the Herald before the Monterey Herald went corporate.
The author has changed the format of the cartoon and married off the two main characters.

The author also illustrates books for other authors and designs t-​shirts and signs so her office is not just strictly for the comic strip.
I bought a copy of the author’s book at Downtown Books and Sound today and googled more info.
You should check out the comic strip and keep this place in mind if you need drawings for a business logo.

Squid Row is not actually a comics store. Squid Row is the first comic strip by Bridgett Spicer. It ran for years in the Monterey Herald and was pulled when the newspaper went completely corporate and was stripped of all local content. Squid ow ran online before it was in the newspaper and returned to being solely online afterwards. The next stage of this comic strip is called Randie and Ryan, and can be found online. It is even better than Squid Row and I highly recommend it.
