I really wish that Unilocal would change the rating system because some businesses really deserve no stars or –stars, such as this one! A few months ago I took my vehicle here to have the transmission rebuilt. I was quoted a price and warranty on the phone, once the work was done the warranty was much less time/​mileage than quoted on the phone… oh well. Well, this past weekend their work failed, and even though we have over a year left on the warranty and have only put a couple thousand miles on the vehicle, they are not standing by their warranty at all and claim that it is not their work to fix! I recommend looking elsewhere for quality workmanship and reputable business practices.

I needed to have my truck fixed my Saturday. I brought it in on Thursday about 4 ish. Not only did Gerardo the Mechanic have it fixed by 5 on Friday. He went out of his way to to explain everything to me. I’m from out of town and it was great to find this shop.

This place is awesome! Super nice, honest, and fast. Very reasonable prices. Within 15 minutes at Caldaron, they had checked the flat tire, determined it was not fixable, found me the exact match of my other tires, and had the new one on. Great service and price. Especially as a woman on my own, I felt very safe and comfortable, and did not feel like they were trying to gouge me or take advantage of my lack of auto/​tire knowledge. Very happy with the service… will definitely go back if needed. 100% recommend this place to others!

Excellent service and free wifi! Lol. They changed my transmission fluid for 180 with lubegard. I would have preferred them to write the stuff they replaced on the receipt with part #. Never know if they did it or not but I have confidence.(write down like if you changed filter on receipt) Could use a tv in the waiting room but with free wifi who doesn’t have netflix these days? Would definitely come here again. The people were friendly and I came early and waited less than 10 mins to pull up my car.

Very Reasonable, Fast, Honest, Friendly!
Thank goodness, we found this business. They have been so good to us. Excellent work, very reasonable prices, friendly, respectful, and always helpful. Auto repair shops on the Monterey Peninsula can be so manipulative, greedy, rude and obnoxious. Salinas truly has better overall auto shop businesses. Muchas Gracias!!!
